Villa protest

Evening Toffees, sorry to hijack your forum but I was looking to gain your support for the game next weekend.

I’m sure you’ve seen the outrage related to our extortionate Champions League ticket prices and the vast majority are really unhappy that the club hasn’t reconsidered the pricing.

Would you join us in protesting against the prices and the total disgregard of the loyal match going fan?

Thanks in advance

Hiya mate, how about 97 mins instead?

I hope Villa double down and do Oasis style dynamic pricing.

Nah only messing mate, it's an absolute disgrace these ticket prices. Too much of an exclusivity and having to be seen culture these days as well so people will just pay rather than having the bollox to stand up for fairer terms.

Forgot to say thanks for Andre, he’s been class so far 😉

Whatever you can do will be appreciated, Villa fans usually just take it, laid back Brummies don’t really shout up about much. But this has riled everyone.

Saw a few comments saying you’d love to be in our position. Last week watching the draw, I had goosebumps, cheered like we scored a goal when I saw we had Bayern at home and couldn’t wait to get me & my son tickets. The feeling of excitement has been tarnished and the damage that’s been done to the fan engagement won’t be repaired.
At Least We're Not Villa though, aye.

Saturday's the 14th, not the 12th

@tirion has a valid point. If a fan is actively bragging & mocking other match going fans over how much more money they have because they do not go the game, its pointless them claiming to have support for those affected by extortionate ticket prices.

Tory behaviour that.

Whats the ticket prices for the Premier League fixtures like @disgruntledvilla ?

My mate who’s a member would need to pay £79 for a ticket to see Wolves, which is the week after we pay you which is also extortionate. I sit in the same stand as where you’ll be sitting, level with the 18 yard box and for the game with you there’s tickets available for £50. The club are majorly pushing ‘soft’ hospitality so paying £150 for a standard ticket and get a mouldy burger plus a few drinks in a school canteen before the game.

Having a quick look through Twitter, some of the Villa fans don’t agree with turning their backs during the game so who knows what will happen 😂

When we were in the Championship, the takeover was the best thing that could have happen to us. The then owner Tony Xia is now in prison and we were hours away from administration. I guess we are paying for our success, 5 years on from getting back into the Prem, scraping survival in our first season, selling Grealish, employing that doughnut from Anfield and replacing him Emery. It’s been a mad few years.

Every credit for the protest. £1 per minute is a joke. Its not fair on your fans and is total exploitation. Sad to see happening at a traditional and well supported club like yours.

However, when the biggest problem at your football club is that your Champions League games are a bit expensive, you really don't need solidarity from the Everton fans. I mean, if there was a league table of the most disastrous clubs or fans that have suffered the most in recent years, we'd be top by a country mile. There's so many things to protest about I don't even know where to start listing them.

I'm sure you'll get your point across thought. Solidarity brother ✊

Fans of other clubs protest when they're being mishandled as a club and mistreated as a fanbase. Good for Villa fans. Maybe some of the idiots happy clappers who constantly try to shame any form of protest we do as a fanbase while the club is systematically being murdered will take note and finally take note and see how positive it can be to protest injustice.

I say fair play to you mate. Hope it all goes well, though I doubt they will listen first time round.

Be nice to see us lot joining in also, because let's be honest, it will happen to us once we move.

Good luck 👍
