Sheff Wed have cancelled their next two league games

the cup game will go ahead even if its against their u21s due to lack of free dates for rearrangement.

I am glad its postponed tbh. We will have the game in hand and the chance to get Allan and Gbamin fit and available. Need as much strength as possible for this 2nd half of the season if we are going to fight to try and get in Europe.

It sounds like most of their players end their isolation period on Sunday, so worst case scenario they can train Monday and Tuesday and play Wednesday.

I'd be very surprised if the City game is called off. I can understand not wanting to play on Sunday if that's the first day they can come out of quarantine, but 2/3 days training is not an excuse at all to get a game called off. I expect we'll play next against Sheffield Wed

I thought League suspensions carried on to cup competitions, but cup suspensions could not be carried to league suspensions.

Would that even help? Surely it’s better for the players to be in getting tested than away from the game for 2 weeks. Look at what some of them have got up to already.

Yep,bans are in comps you get them in,no longer carried over to other comps

Download there to see how many yellows etc needed for ban and when cut off points are,what comp you serve them in etc

Valid point actually. Going to be a struggle to fit in all these games for some teams though.

No guarantee cup game will go ahead at the moment so may not be playing for another week.

I would guess that with Villa being out, if our cup game was cancelled they would look to play this game that weekend instead.

True, but at least if Allan is back it means we don't have to play any games without either of them. One of them plus one of the back ups is manageable, both of them missing is a recipe for disaster.

It’s a shame because I fancied us for 3 points regardless who was missing for us and them, the momentum and how strong we look on the road would of seen us win.

that “extra rest” for West Ham done is no good whatsoever, we’d of won that if we had played city a few days earlier imo.
