Gutted because this would be another 3 points. Can't blame the rules though, The FA Cup couldn't be re-arranged, the PL have the luxury of that so I don't see the point in banging the conspiracy drum. There will be a lot more postponed and this league isn't gonna be finished in May. I can't see it anyway.

That said, the league needs to be doing independent tests and also checking on how the clubs are isolating their players because clubs will absolutely use this to their advantage.

A few more of these and the league is going to have to be temporarily suspended at the very least, surely? It's getting out of control.

This is only the 4th game postponed for COVID reasons, one (Spurs v Fulham) got played last night another (Newcastle V Villa) is getting played on 4th round weekend

The only other postponements were because of a late finish to the European season (Burnley v United which got played Tuesday and City v Villa which is due to be Wednesday) and a rearranged cup tie (Leeds v Southampton which was due to be played on Wednesday but Saints are playing Shrewsbury on Tuesday)

Not a big believer in extended rest being a benefit. We go on good runs and bad runs and I'd far rather keep playing after a good result and a fairly decent run for the last month.

The only benefit is if DCL and Allan can regain fitness, but there is no guarantee they will be fit for the Leicester game.

Doucoure missing Leicester now is a much bigger miss.

Indeed but he’ll have over a week of rest for the cup game and then another week for Newcastle.

Assuming Allan is back for Leicester, it’s not too bad.

It’s a shame because I fancied us for 3 points regardless who was missing for us and them, the momentum and how strong we look on the road would of seen us win.

that “extra rest” for West Ham done is no good whatsoever, we’d of won that if we had played city a few days earlier imo.

What makes you say that? It was only 6 days after our last game, hardly enough of a gap to lose momentum or whatever. We lost to West Ham because they sat in deep and we have no creativity to break that type of team down, don't see how playing another game a couple of days earlier would have changed that to be honest.
