Some of the best money I've ever spent.£300 pretty piece of kit. Is it any good?
Grease handed wannabe's also. So many ideas about cleaning. Suppose cleaning an acquaintances records say 20 for £10 could see some investment back. Gotta think smart. Looking after your gear goes a long way to keeping things going. Weighing up a mixer cover next. Some of the best money I've ever spent.
Stuff that was unlistenable in some cases restored to VG+, and others at least made enjoyable to listen to again. It can't get rid of scratches or physical damage, but the difference a good clean makes is quite something.
My records haven't always been looked after as well as they should've been, and it made a massive difference. It's also a good thing to own if you're into buying second hand records, which I am.
The two obvious things anyone who plays vinyl should buy, though, are a carbon fibre record brush and a stylus cleaning brush, and that should really avoid the need for something like the above.
I've thought about doing that, but I don't really want to be responsible for someone else's records lolGrease handed wannabe's also. So many ideas about cleaning. If it's a full Lazarus job, you might get famous.I've thought about doing that, but I don't really want to be responsible for someone else's records lol
Couldn't do anything like that in a million years, much too shyAh the eye test. Been there, always give the side you care about a thorough light glare once over. If you notice a bit of blemish, mention it and run the price down.
I'd never do the following with a charity shop.
Check the side you want is alright, then 'find' some scratch n scuff on the side you dont and mention that, get a quid or two off that way
You never know, if you never ask. Feint heart never won fair maiden...Couldn't do anything like that in a million years, much too shy
