Violence at the games

You mean the guy whos throwing chairs at them?

I mean not saying he deserves to be where he is now, but kinda destroys the "innocent victim" story a little.

That was the other guy. He was the passive guy on the right that looked like he wasn't wanting to get involved. The other guys always get away.

Some almost kopite levels of denial in all of this.

Yes, there was a load of organised Russian units with weapons, but what about the English fans lobbing chairs and bottles whilst generally trashing the place and singing isis and war songs?

It's just as much their fault that innocent fans who were just there for a good time got caught up in the crossfire.

Its n
Probably bad choice of language but it is guaranteed that there is trouble . And something else is that stuff you could not get away with in normal life is ignored in a football situation. Outside pubs insulting women, pretending to be an aeroplane to wind up a mancunian, a game of football crashing around the inside of a motorway service station. It all gets ignored as police are happy to contain as long as damage is minimal and no real violence. England guarantees a level of trouble and behaviour away. I would not take a woman or kid with the away support of England and would not want them in my town.[/QUOTE
Its not just England mate. I joked earlier on about Cardiff/Swansea fighting each other. That happens on most of Wales away games, not nice for decent fans. The carnage that happened in Marsaille was disgraceful and I felt embarrased to be English, but a small minority of football fans spoil it for the decent fans. As I said earlier I think the authorities have done good job, but the inept french police and the mindless minority have put us back 20yrs

It's easy for you to say as Wales fans aren't targets.

"Grigory we must now be arranging of ruck with Wales"
" nyet vasilly. There is no honour in fighting creatures of the sea!"

I understand, but with the real security issues in Europe don't you think for once they could behave. Its a game to most of them, entertainment. Even with Everton I have been at some great places were the home support are not intimidating like Blackburn, sitting in the Blackburn stand and some of our lot kick off. Have seen it at Wembley, Blackburn, Bolton, Manchester, Norwich and because its contained not even reported as trouble. Out of their own City it seems normal rules and decency need not apply. Hence why I would not go to see England. That feeling of embarassment you mention. Exactly.

The shot with the wooden chair on the steps is nasty!!! Anyone got the vid were they've added wwe commentary to it?

yep, idiots on all sides, there's plenty of English thugs that need locking up when the footie is on

Shocking comment. So if I batter an innocent West Ham fan its OK because it is only payback for what the ICF used to get up to years ago?

What about Muslims? Would that be 'payback' for what Al Qaeda/IS get up to?

No, I thought not.

Outrageous thing to say.
Is it really though, England fans have been going around Europe taking liberties for the last 40 years.... they can't start crying now because others have had enough and have decided to play them at their own game and have proved to be better. And if you read the posts I have written you will see I think it's absolutely disgusting that innocent people have been caught up in this mindless thuggery and I think the whole football violence culture is mindless violence by dickheads who are not real fans... but don't cry at getting legged when you've been doing it to others for years.

Your boyos are getting involved now.

So the interim Head of UEFA Ángel María Villar Llona also happens to be FIFA's Chairman of Russia 2018. One of his closest colleagues is Victor Mutko, member of the Russian FA and Russia's Minister for Sport.

Absolutely no conflict of interests there should there be further violence in Lille as seems inevitable.
