What is this obsession with Gosens?

Don’t think he could cope as a centre back, he’s too weak and small. And he’s actually not a very good defender.

It always baffles me that the waiter forced out a left back to then buy another one of lesser pedigree.

That area was never an issue...then he made one and didn't improve it.

I agree , don't care if he's 16, 24, 38 . Just not good enough. Will he be good enough in 5 years , probably not. Replace .

His crossing is abysmal, when he gets forwards - plus a poor left back defensively - any goal from the left he is simply not even in the frame.... great signing Raffa -

Can people stop comparing him to Hibbert. Going forward fair but defensively, Hibbert was streets ahead. Like, on another planet better than Myko.

Yeah but he's far more comparable to Hibbert than he is to baines. And that seems to be the benchmark a lot of our fans expect.

I also don't think Myko is as bad as this thread has made out. He's been bad since we've returned from the world cup. The Brighton game was his worst in an everton shirt. However I can't help but feel the people that really don't like him, have used this past few weeks to come out and pat themselves on the back for being right.

Pre world cup he was putting in solid but unspectacular performances. Do I wish he had a bit more to his game? Yeah. But I don't think he deserves the vitriol he's got the past week or so.

Has no positional awareness constantly the wrong side of the guy he's meant to be marking who more often than not easily beats him for pace aswell.
