But you countered by saying we should lump in on Max Arrons who has been worse considering he is not in a new team and country but established

He's a high potential player but is playing in a dreadful team and has been under Farke until recently who didnt use any midfield protection.

you would be right if it was a player from the countries like poland, slovakia, serbia etc.

but our East European players have a slightly different mentality and as practice shows, players who move to foreign championships in their youth do not achieve anything at all, but simply get lost, once again - not achieving anything. they just lose their heads from another reality and nothing will change in this regard for maybe next 5-10 years. at the age of 22-23 they become more mature and they can already be taken somewhere since they are already more serious about this and at least understand something with their own heads.

so you need to know, when you take a player of 18-20 years old from the Ukrainian, Russian or maybe Turkish championship, then 90 percent сhance that he will simply be lost and become a bust.

Why do you think Serbians and Croatians generally adapt younger than Ukrainians?

Moise Kean agrees.

Thats an example of a deal where we should have profited but for poor planning.

If we signed 4 players 18-20 years old from overseas and spent £60-80mil on them then with the right scouting and playing pathways we could see 2 being a success and values doubling with the other two being sold at a loss...leaving us in profit overall.

Anything higher than 50% success rate and we'd be laughing.

Commiserations my friend

Any plans on Tuesday?

5 years? We never learn do we.

???

Yeh true ! I read earlier that Juve were also interested in a swap deal involving Dinge and Arthur. Probably bull , but I wouldn't mind that tbh

He's a player i really like but the injuries are phenomenal.

And fully expect zero progression apart from a game of monopoly with players.

£60-80mill on "maybes". Sure if you want to run like business

Any signing carries risk. I don't understand why this signing with relatively low risk and high upside got so much whining except the fact that Benitez signed him. Most of us literally have never seen him play for more than a few minutes at most. Let's give him a chance to play a few games before complaining.

Not complaining. Just mentioning that the idea of £60-80mill outlay on 4 young "potential" players is mad.

So far it's one for 17m. Let's be a little patient and see how things work out. You'll be happier too. Glass half full and all that. Cheers.
