Hes not going to be better than Digne. Maybe in a season or two he can reach those levels. Digne even this season has higher ratings than him but it is what it is. The lad is young and could end up being just as good down the line but Digne will be hard to replace initially. Just hoping that the new fella has attributes that suit Benitez system better and gets us results
Mykolenko will have to be given time to settle, if he is able to speak English then that would be a great help but that is unlikely.

I think if Digne were playing at the top of his game there may not have been a problem,
However in recent months he was neither defending or attacking to a high standard.
I don't mean that as a criticism of a talented player. Everyone goes poor patches during their career.
It probably is financially convenient that he leaves as I

At this stage he isn't replacing Digne at left back, he will be replacing Godfrey... who replaced Digne.

cause the president of dynamo kiyv is a complete idiot, he usually inflates prices very much.
and I'm just shocked how they sold you mykolenko for 22 million euros, and not asked 35 - this is the first time in the last 20 years that you have been lucky. For example, Yarmolenko was sold to Borussia at the age of 28, because the president overestimated the price all the time. the same situation with tsygankov ( Bayern Munich, Tottenham and Athletico have already offered 20-25 millions, but their bids were rejected)

≈20 millions for trubin (inter is very interested)

≈ 15 millions for mudryk +% (Sevilla is very interested)

? for zabarnyi (Chelsea's offer of 15 million was rejected, but if now someone offered 25-30 millions, the president would not have resisted, but again, I think he will stay in the team for at least 3 more years)
This yarmolenko fella, I’m surprised Everton were never linked with him

Everton tried to sign Yarmolenko in the summer of 2015, but then the club failed to agree with Dynamo on the amount of the transfer. dynamo requested 25 million euros for him. Everton expected to carry out the transfer for an amount of 18 million euros.

twoblue, even if a war breaks out here, players will still be overpriced.

*Leicester let one of their aging, better players go for a big fee, replace them with cheaper, hungry, up and coming talent*

Some blues: What a well-run club. Wish we could do that instead of buying 29yr old has beens for 30million

Some blues: WHY WE LETTING A SUPERSTAR WHO NONE OF US HAD HEARD OF BEFORE WE SIGNED HIM GO AND SIGNING SOME 22 YEAR OLD NOBODY?? FJHDBHFBHQBABHBQHBFHABHASJDQBDJQA

What do we actually want? Digne still warrants a big fee, and wont in a year or two. This is the perfect time to get rid. Brilliant business by Everton. Credit where credit is due!

Digne warrants a big fee but what he warrants and what we get offered are two totally different things.
