Member when they came up with the europa conference last year and we were turning our nose up at it. We are years away from getting into contention for it ffs.

Greetings,

I am a big fan of Fenerbahçe from Istanbul and I'm just here to tell you a couple of things about your potential coach, Vitor Pereira. To be honest, he may not have satisfied you when you think about the other coaches like Carlo Ancelotti. But as a football fan who has followed him for years, I can definitely say that you will make a great move if you announce VP as the new coach.

You may have prejudices because of Marco Silva. However, I can guarantee you that Vitor is a way better coach than Marco Silva. As a professional, he always improves himself and never settles for less. Unfortunately, he couldn’t succeed in the last season with us, but Vitor was not the reason for that. He couldn’t build the team as the way he wanted, also there was too much pressure on him because of the Turkish media and our board. That’s why he never found a comfortable work environment in Istanbul.

Everton is not good at the moment, we all know that. I also know that there will be so much pressure on him at Everton. But he always wanted to be in the Premier League. He will do anything to succeed. Vitor Pereira will surely succeed if you be patient. You need to support him all the time. Believe me, he is a fantastic coach who wants to see his team fights all the time and never give up on the pitch.

The bottom line is that you don’t need to be worried or sorry right now. If Vitor Pereira becomes the new coach, he will definitely make you happy and will not let you down. Because he is a winner and you will understand that after the first match.

I wish you all the best!
Expected to see the username Lord Jokerazul here.

Well they're slightly different things. Lampard and Ole were brought in as figureheads who 'know the club' and both of them failed so they aren't necessarily the best examples if you want to show how not judging someone by their CV is a good thing. Lage and Vieira were more in the Lampard (coming to us) bracket, in that they're both relatively inexperienced as managers so them not necessarily having a great amount of success doesn't really mean all that much.

Mourinho doesn't really work as an example either because - as with any applicant for any job - your most recent work is the most relevant. Mourinho's CV shows that he was a top class manager but that over recent years he hasn't been as good, so no he wouldn't be high on the list based on his CV.

Pereira has been managing for 18 years and his biggest job was 8 years ago. He's bounced around minor leagues and never made a big breakthrough or laid down proper roots anywhere. As I said, it's possible that he's just been unlucky/badly treated etc but you'd have to say that the evidence points towards him just not being a particularly good manager. It would certainly be a hell of a risk to appoint him considering where we are and how the volatile the fan base is at the moment, especially seeing as he doesn't appear to be the most level headed bloke himself.

They never "failed" in their initial employment. Both were successful in getting them champions league football and steadied a ship (in Ole's case). So they both came in and did a job for a specific circumstance. It was the next step they failed at. But still the idea remained that they took an inexpensive punt on them.

And you're contridicting yourself by saying on the one hand club's give managers with little experience a chance...on the other hand they pick ones with experience.

It's all down to what the club are looking for. In our case if we purely looked at CVs and our predicament we'd be looking at getting Big Sam back.

An English manager who knows the prem basically.

Then there can only be one man. Alan Pardew, come on down.

At least this post confirms he has a good grasp of English. Hi Vitor .

I'm not contradicting myself? Where have I said anything about not getting a job if you're inexperienced? I'm also not talking about solely judging people on their CV, I don't quite know how you've misunderstood the point to that extent.

The point is that Pereira has an unimpressive CV. Being experienced and having a good CV gets you good jobs. Being inexperienced and so having a limited CV but either having a face that fits (Lampard and Solskjaer) or a big reputation as a coach (Arteta) also gets you good jobs. Being experienced and having an unimpressive CV should not get you a job like ours, it shouldn't even get you an interview. The bloke has been managing for 18 years and has never worked in one of the major leagues, that's a huge red flag. Like I keep saying, it doesn't mean he can't be a good manager for us, but there certainly isn't much evidence that he can.

He is a handsome devil. Those of us who were inclined to hurl insults at a certain ex manager's physical characteristics will be lost for words.
