A fine and noble hobby enacted by top gentlemen (and some not so gentlewomen)

WarhammerNerds001.webp

So much more healthy and acceptable to society than watching the Wrestling, being a Scout Leader, or getting pissed with your Nazi mates and 'defending' statues from angry Riot Police

I can go one step further than most of the nerds here and say that I play this competitively and am ranked. Even played in the Age of Sigmar Six Nations competition last year and wellied the English lad I played.
Have you ever thought of combing it with a physical activity you might be good at as well..

Warhammer and rugby perhaps, like chess boxing.

Played many a historical based (ancient greece) wargame over the years. Also made a star trek based war game which went down a storm at lunch times at school. A trainee teacher we had at the time, who had previously been manager of a games workshop, reckoned I'd make a fortune selling a rule book. And then lose it being sued by paramount.

Tyranids... knew it.

I haven't started 40k again but I like Genestealers.

Tbh, Nids are my secondary 40k army just there because there are so many space marine players. My Jump Pack Chapter are my true love, painted in the style of seagulls. Genestealer Cults are really good, though there is a brand new edition dropping soon
