Watches

Been wearing the new Seiko 5 Sport 55th anniversary watch for the last week. I am a big fan and have it on a brown leather strap. Too chunky for under a shirt but I like it a lot.

That's a beautiful piece, and I will check this out to view it in the 'flesh'.

Lovely looking watch, just read reviews on it which were very good, and not expensive at all.

Interesting little vid on the revamped IWC Ingenieur from Hodinkee.
Being unable to buy (afford) either a Royal Oak or Nautilus, I do find these attractive, but the point about the cost of the exact same movement in a different model for ½ the price is an eye opener.
That said if they are going to limit supply there may be some upside for investors….

Been super satisfied with my Henry Archer 'Nordso'; no prob recommending to lurking newbs who are having "first watch fear". Ticks all the right boxes, for the price. Have no fear...

Keen eye for the watch guy...:p. For the price and , as a spec-head (which it ticked 95% of those boxes, for me) I took the plunge. Due to case height, I almost dare to term it a "dress diver", if there is such a thing...especially the brushed dial versions. I got the 'Cru' (champagne) dial myself:

Apologies for the water spots/dust on the crystal; 4X zoom on phone, it wasn't noticeable to my aging eyes at the time.

Not accustomed to watch compliments but I've gotten multiple on this guy over the last 3 months...I'm so not used to it, I didn't even know how to reply. Considering the ' Glacier Cyan' version:

Watches, lads.

Really frustrated by the vogue for watch companies to release 'Limited Editions'.

3 or 4 recent pieces I would be tempted to purchase, but physically impossible to buy in the retail stores.

I am not keen on buying online, as i want to see the watch in the flesh, and try it on my wrist.

Should be our next sponsor, but they're a smart company.

Nah, I like Seiko.

Ironically we should have a look at the watch company who we're associated with for inspiration- Christopher Ward. Performance well beyond its price point, smart contemporary designs, innovative models that compete with high end brands who are 10 and even 100x more expensive and a strong roster of models that they have developed over a few years.
