Watches

yeah I know you’re right about the bracelet.. adds a bit of cost up front which I wouldn’t mind avoiding ..especially as I know I’ll want to get it on rubber ASAP.

I need a drink :pint2:
I hear you, but if you ever want it you won't find it, and even if you do find it t'will cost more than it will today. Lots more.

Take it from an old man. Ask me how I know...

Bought this last year. Love it.

@BornBlue76 Agreed, always buy it on bracelet (metal band). You can always get several nice after-market straps: rubber, NATO, leather, etc., and then you'll have lots of versatility. I prefer white to blue but only slightly...can't go wrong with either. But if the white dial come with the bracelet and the blue comes with the rubber strap, then it's white dial for me. And you can get used to wearing the bracelet, even if it initially feels heavy.

In fact, this is a totally boss rubber strap that would look great with the white dial.

Here's a blue version of it on one an Omega:

THAT'S a really nice watch, there. I can't find anything at all wrong with that.

View attachment 136484On holiday and got a good deal from the AD.. now I’m in justifying mode trying to convince myself I deserve my dream watch.

I loved the blue on my wrist but wife prefers the white.. thinking white on a black strap maybe.. the metal just felt cold and didn’t do it for my tiny wrists..

have 1 day to make a decision!

You'll be looking at it infinitely more than the wife will...go with your gut.

how do you know? lol
Try finding an original register key for a 50+ year old Leblanc clarinet (that isn't pitted out). Or an original hand guard for a 60+ year old SML revision D alto sax with the correct engraving. There is no substitute for new old stock for a quality piece.

Get all the parts when you can when they're new and hang on to them once you get them. Bracelets store wonderfully well in the original box.

Decision made and I took the plunge!
Listened to your guys advice and went bracelet. I came within a whisker of buying the white dial, like it was done and I had a sudden urge to test one more thing: so after asking one guy to put them on so I could see them on someone else it was clear that the blue is me all the way.

going bracelet 100% the right decision.. it even feels good now that they sized it and the watch although “chunky” doesn’t actually wear chunky and you hardly feel it on your arm..

Is that the 42mm one - looks much better than the older smaller ones.

On a side note, not normally a fan of the 007 / Bond tribute Seamasters as the barrel dial or 007 second hands I feel a bit gimmicky but this one I really like (despite the faux patena)
