Lukaku has to get something on that header.
Barry is too cute for his own good. (92nd minute)
Baines shouldn't be crossing to no one.
Jagielka should be looking to squeeze the ball another six inches to his right past Mignolet, but I'll forgive that.

Just thinking back on it now, his corners were one of the worst parts of the game. Truly dreadful. He is a total legend but surely somebody else can have a go now, he was hitting the first man every time.

I had to watch again to see if Naismith was actually playing. Eto'o should have been on the pitch a lot earlier than he was. Naismith has played in a 433 before and been a lot more involved; but he was completely anonymous in that Derby.

agree that Eto'o should have been on earlier - wouldn't necessarily agree with Naismith being anonymous, thought he used and showed for the ball well when he was involved, wasn't really his fault that most of our attackign balls were pinged directly to Lukakau on the right wing [I'm sure Nais was intructed to fill the box when the ball went out wide]

one point about Hibbo - most people commenting that Hibbo did ok, fair enough but did he do ok as a full back playing in the premiership or OK for Hibbo's standards? if coleman played at the same level on saturday then it would be said that he had a bad game.........just saying

Whats silly about pointing out you should support the team and not put the boot into the players and constantly bitch and moan about them?

Seemed a fair point to me. Not sure why you saw necessary to jump in to be honest.
It's what he does best. Sh1t stirring wum. Nothing more, nothing less.

Agree here. Hibbert was OK. But only for Hibbert.

The bit at the end when Browning chased down Jags' hopeful punt upfield and put in a decent cross just before the goal. I doubt Hibbert would have done that to be honest.

No diss on Hibbert, we all know he has limitations, and i'm sure he knows it too.

Hibbert did ok because McCarthy was playing CM and RB cover. It was a poor decision playing him, and Browning's cameo performance underlines it wasn't necessary to play Hibbert.

Unfortunately he wasn´t anonymous. He had some very important possession for us when we could have cause some danger but wasted it every time. Not his finest moment, but he will come good again quickly.

I think Barkley's absence and his presence in the team is largely responsible for Lukaku's stalled season.

I think the absence of Barkley and Pienaar is proving a huge loss to the team structure in general. Then we have Coleman missing games, and now Kev is out.

You would think some people might bear this in mind if we lose Thursday and Sunday.

They won´t though.

Tony Hibbert has given us years of solid service. The problem he has is that we are now in a era of attacking fullbacks & Defenders who are more athletic than solid. The days of a solid Nesta and defensive Gary Neville (england have never replaced love or hate him etc) are nearly over. David Luiz is technically sound, pacey and athletic - £50m gets you that today. £30m got you nesta in a solid defensive serie A back in the late 90's/early 00's. With the money banded about these days god knows what a early/mid 20's Nesta could get you !

My point being that Tony Hibbert is a old school right back. Defend first. People forget the amount of times Coleman and Baines get caught out of position. macca and Barry do all the filling in.
Its part of a system suited to attacking fullbacks, considering there was not solid right winger infront of Hibbert, coupled with the marking of Raheem Sterling, i thought Hibbo was solid. McCarthy also deserves a mention for his hard work to help hibbo.
