That has been Everton away from home 2021-22
To be honest, the performance tonight was Everton for many many years. Utterly and totally clueless at what to do when teams sit back, let alone have the technical nimble ability to execute any ideas we might have.

No home clean sheet all year, until Everton turn up and get fairly.comfoftably marshalled by Watford B.

People are writing off the Palace game as a certain defeat because we recently got hammered 4-0 by Palace, but if Goodison is bouncing and we fans get behind our players from the first whistle to the last whistle then anything is possible. Just look at that Chelsea result from last weekend.

I agree that the Arsenal game away is a write-off, but we could cause an upset against Palace.

Either way Sunday against Brentford is the biggest match in our club’s history.

It was it it was.
We got a point away from home, which given our performances all season was good.
Given our current situation, avoiding a loss was much more important than winning. We achieved that.
We could have gone all out for the win and possibly got caught out on the counter.
A point away from home, against ANY opposition is a positive.
We should be safe now with Leeds losing. Next season we go again with a clean sheet.

Bollix, they were woeful.

Big sigh. What a wasted opportunity. Don't get me wrong, 4 points from 2 away games is OK, but they were there for the taking and with Leeds starting before us we would have known they were behind before kick off and that they were behind and down to 10 men at half time. We could have been sitting here all but safe. That Gray chance rankles. Still in our own hands, I suppose, but damn.

Pretty underwhelming to say the least but we are nearly there. 4 points from last 3 games and we’re safe. If we don’t get that, we deserve relegating. We’ve all had a good few weeks but tonight was a bump back down to earth and a salient reminder that the majority of this squad are utterly woeful and just cannot be relied upon. Leeds looked shocking tonight, though, so anything less than a win in their next game and we do Brentford, then the nightmare (for this season, at least) is over and the purge of these wasters can begin.

This result has done my head in. Why didn't we have more of a go, we were far too slow and deep against a crap side

If Leeds lose against Brighton, we’ll be going into the game against Brentford just needing one point to stay up (as long as Leeds don’t win their last game about 20 nil)

Just finished watching the game. Things kind of came back to reality with who this team really is. There’s a reason we are in a relegation battle and I’m afraid we will be sweating it until the final day. Fortunately for us we have two home games left. Win at least one of them and I think we are gold.
