Richarlison was doomed to fail alone up too against them oafs. He is not a lone striker and never will be, he can’t win aerial duels against CBs and it’s a waste of a good player to make him try.

But without more guile in the middle of the park we’re not getting the ball to him.

Why play five at the back against this crap side? Our usual back four, Iwobi central in a midfield three. Game was crying out for Rondon to get up there as a holdup man and batter them around some.

You would think that VdB or Dele could provide the missing craft in the middle, or DCL could do a job up front. That they evidently can’t is a pretty damning indictment. But Frank got it wrong tonight.
Without the back 5 it wouldv been 6 nil for watford within 10 minutes. Actualy keane made so many mistakes again he really needs those extra nannies.

I’m convinced some of you would be happy had we lost to United, Chelsea, Leicester, but beat Watford.

One game at a time. We have overachieved these last few weeks. I’ll take the point at Watford. What matters now is that we come away with a result Sunday. Again, a point wouldn’t be the end of the world. That would still put us ahead of Leeds if they happen to win another game. Everyone just needs to EfN relax.
Leicester appears to make people forget how atrocious our away form has been this season. Last night was not a great result, but it’s not terrible either.

We’d all have been happier with a win, however a draw still improves our position compared to a Leeds slide in disarray. Two home games on a bounce will help.

Glad we got one point, but disappointed we didn’t get three. Ffs we allowed Watford to have their first clean sheet all season. Why is that we perform better against the big teams than those we really should be beating
Its because there is no expectation against the bigger teams, so no pressure. Put them in front of a team thye are expected to beat and the yellow streak appears down their backs like chameleons. We have lauded them for effort recently, quite rightly, and we didnt get beat, so I am not complaining there. But last night was an indicator of why we are were we are. They are for the most part weak minded players who buckle under pressure. That run fro Iwobi summed our team up. Great pass to him, he sets off leaving the Watford team for dead, gets into the box and starts slowing down looking for someone he can pass responsibility for. Dithers instead of having a go and loses the ball. he is an abject coward, and his workrate and effort shouldn’t cover that. These cowards must be culled as soon as possible.

Hmmmm..... Bit of the old Everton there.

Lack of conviction all round.

Another point gained. Disappointing. Not the end of the world.

2 home games next. Onwards and (staying) up-wards.

Before the Leicester game I’d have been happy with 4 points so I’m not complaining too much about last night. A win would have been great though and would have relaxed everyone a bit.

The main thing was not losing last night.

Tonight demostrated what we all knew.

We are a crap team, devoid of creativity in midfield.

We are okay when better teams come on to us….but struggle when we play poor teams and have most of the possession, like tonight.

We can’t break teams down.

I nesrly fancy us to get more at Arsenal than home to Palace if they sit back.
Agree with that last bit
Arsenal will play to win and we can accommodate their style. Palace will play on the break a be a much tougher game imo

This. We've been so fragile/bad away from home all season I'll take a point especially with Leeds continuing to point the 12 bore at their toes at every opportunity.

We improved our position against our rivals and we still have a game in hand. Would have taken all our stress away had we won, but that wouldn't be Everton would it?

Not a great result but take that, honestly can't see leeds beating Brighton. Brighton are flying. 3 points might be enough from our last 2 home games

Probably a wake up call this match to show how bad we are and have been. We were very lucky against Chelsea and Leicester and should be thankful we are still in a relegation battle. It just shows how important a win is over a draw at this late stage.

I have long thought we'd crawl over the finish line 4th or 5th to last. This is a poor Everton....top to bottom. Weak, spineless, useless. I leave Lampard out of that Venn diagram...I will give him time. But useless Denise?... blubbering Blue Bill?...gormless Mosh-man?...and a squad of jellyfish?...just get us over the finish line and then just f%#@ the right off.,..you useless chocolate teapots

It was a disgrace. Taking things for granted is exactly the wrong attitude to have. We should of beat them tonight.
If Watford's first team had been available maybe we would have done. But for poor finishing we would have won comfortably. A lot here were saying they were nervous out the game so maybe the players were too and were extra cautious in the first half. I think we all agree that the most important thing was not to lose.

this. pickford, iwobi, myko and richy can stay. the rest needs replacing. maybe keep gordon but give him some competition.
