Richarlison was doomed to fail alone up too against them oafs. He is not a lone striker and never will be, he can’t win aerial duels against CBs and it’s a waste of a good player to make him try.

But without more guile in the middle of the park we’re not getting the ball to him.

Why play five at the back against this crap side? Our usual back four, Iwobi central in a midfield three. Game was crying out for Rondon to get up there as a holdup man and batter them around some.

You would think that VdB or Dele could provide the missing craft in the middle, or DCL could do a job up front. That they evidently can’t is a pretty damning indictment. But Frank got it wrong tonight.

In case you haven't noticed, we;ve been woeful all season. Tonight we gained another much needed point.
Hey Mr Super Analyst, I was at the game. we were clueless.

We got a point at an under strength championship club that haven’t won at home since whenever, huzzah !

We should have battered them like everyone else and been just about safe.

I said we were woeful, I was being kind.

They had nearly all of their first team out.

They are relegated

They had half of their seats empty

They have the worst home record and on the worst home run in Europe

Frank Lampard seems happy with a point. Wow next season is going to be fun. With that kind of intellect I would be very surprised if we stay up next season. Delaying the inevitable.

We should have won against them but a point is decent when looking at the table and games to play.

We couldnt go 4 at the back and push on with Coleman and Keane. Its really risky.

We must have had 11 or 12 corners...had opportunites but the final pass wasnt quite there.

Glad we didnt get sucker punched.

We got 4 points from the two away games. If we drew at Leicester and won tonight would that have been ok? It doesn’t matter what order we got the points in, Every single one of us would have taken 4 points from the two games and anyone who denies this is a blatant liar

Tonight we reverted to type after a couple of heartening performances and it was a sore reminder. We should be relieved to have got a point in the circumstances.
Somehow the team has to reconjure the intensity against Brentford. I have no doubt that they will.

Last time we played Watford we conceded FIVE goals. Frank is improving us. But if we stay up (massive if) he will need at least seven or eight transfer transform us into a side that can potentially get into the top 4.

Big miss with what should have been one of the 2-3 easiest matches of the season. While a draw does give some room, it means we have to get results from tougher fixtures, rather than the easy one in front of us. Sure, if leeds dont win any of their last two they are out, but theres always a chance they pull one out. At a minimum now we need at least a draw vs Brentford.

If we had a fit right back and fit centre forward playing (Patterson/DCL) then that would have been an improvement.

Add a top class centre back and central midfielder today we'd have won.

On paper its easy but when compared with our away form its a banana skin.

Leeds and Burnley play before we do next which means we'll know what we need to do.

I woke up this morning full of excitement that we would get a win, score a few goals, unleash our creative play, play with confidence, go into the last 3 games all but safe.

I dont know if Im more disappointed in that thoroughly miserable performance or in myself for daring to be optimistic.

I’m convinced some of you would be happy had we lost to United, Chelsea, Leicester, but beat Watford.

One game at a time. We have overachieved these last few weeks. I’ll take the point at Watford. What matters now is that we come away with a result Sunday. Again, a point wouldn’t be the end of the world. That would still put us ahead of Leeds if they happen to win another game. Everyone just needs to EfN relax.
