Now that would be something. Winning the league. Just speaking for myself I've seen us win the league as a youngster in 1970. And was just the right age to enjoy the great mid 1980s team. Would be great to see us win the league again. But i'd settle for a league cup and the fa cup. Anything really. And of course Lampard identifying players and getting them on board to improve us for next season. Hopefully in the PL.

Winning the league is a pipedream. But who knows? I suppose that we have to dream.
I moan and groan when we lose a football match. But the last week has made me think that we aren't really that bad. Dig deep and we can get results..
I'll try and control my whinging when things go wrong. I have a mate who through thick and thin supports Port Vale. Never complains. Another who has stuck with Ipswich Town.. No criticising.......No complaining.
. So I am now going to make a real effort to stop criticising this Everton team.
So there we are.
Let's rock and roll. Win the league next season. Maybe.

For the love of God, we can't underestimate the relished temptation of the Watford fans/players/staff to win the game just so they can goad us with "you're coming down with us" chants.

Huge test of professionalism of our players. If we can do it against Chelsea and Leicester then we absolutely CAN do it against the 2nd worst team in the league. But I am aware we're Everton.

If the squad finishes out the season strongly a lot of these players will be seen to have futures here...

Only by masochists and people who refuse to learn.

Very few of these players have futures at this club now. Unless we want a repeat next season and a new manager by Christmas.

If ever there was a match where we need to take the first good chance we get, this is it. Get ahead and take the remaining sting out of a beaten side. So, no more Richarlison nonsense in front of goal. Don't think about the chance, Richi. Follow your instincts. We are so close to survival now, it would be such a relief to take this golden opportunity now rather than dicing with death through incompetence in front of their goal and clown show comedy in front of ours.

Put three goals past them in the first half. And keep a clean sheet.
That should put a stop to any nonsense chanting from them.....

But we have won a few home matches recently. We have finally won away from home also... So it's time that we stuffed some team. Watford will do fine....

How good would a pretty boring 2-0 sound here????

…it’s a difficult one to predict, I feel we found a way to win against Chelsea & Leicester but this might be different. There was a spell of about 20mins in the 2nd half yesterday where we actually knocked it about and controlled the game. Encouraging. i fear the injuries to our back four but I hope we are just better than them.

I think we’ll concede, they have a little fella (Hernandez?) who seems tailor made to cause Keane & Holgate grief, and we could be really exposed down our left wing if Kenny starts. Saying that, we can cause them problems at the other end, especially if we control midfield.

We need to take our chances but it could be a roller coaster game.

Not sure about our midfield. Would they be able to cope with that renowned world class Watford midfield? I'm not sure.
Only joking........of course we will cope. I like your team....And I suppose a lot will depend on wether or not DCL turns up. Only way to know is to play him. Get him off at half time if he's not focused.
Shame having to say all this about DCL. But he needs to show something. No passengers in this run in......

It’s the one time an away game will feel like a home game, the combination of the fans replicating the atmosphere from yesterday plus the teams coming out to Z Cars will have the boys right up for it

I’d imagine we’ll find out the status for Myko and Yerry when Frank does his presser in the morning before the team set off

Might be the last time we play Watford for a while if we win as I don’t see them coming up in a years time such is the strength of teams down there atm

Delph seems to do much better sitting in front of Keane than Allan.

Probably foot in mouth time for me.....But we shouldn't be worrying about Watford. Play our game.. Be solid...take our chances. We should have too much for Watford.
