Delph seems to do much better sitting in front of Keane than Allan.
Delph is now coming into his own. He's earning his money. But as we all know.....it's one game at a time with him. Can he cope with two matches in four days.
Just emphasises that we need younger better quicker midfielders for next season. We have needed decent midfielders now for a number of seasons. Delph and Allen are ok. But we need better....Would be great if some of our youngsters could step up......

I'm sorry........But have we not just beat Chelsea and Leicester. Also Man Utd a few weeks back. Pushed Liverpool and Man City. And punters are wary about a relegated Watford.
Probably foot in mouth time for me.....But we shouldn't be worrying about Watford. Play our game.. Be solid...take our chances. We should have too much for Watford.
I do know that we did have a terrible run of results before the past couple of weeks. But so have Watford. But we are now winning football matches. They aren't.
Famous last words and all that nonsense. But we have to beat Watford.
Up The Toffees...
Thats just it we do better against better teams ironically. Watford are not good enough to have the lions share of possession and pin us back. Clearly we play better in our half with breakaways... Watford don't offer that...

Of course we will worry about Watford.

Newly relegated teams often have a sting in their tail. They are precisely the sort of team we have struggled against for season bc after season.
you are right. I'm just being bullish.. Watford could be a danger to us. Any team could be a danger to us. Or we could be a danger to them. Who knows.
But you are right about relegated teams. I once remember Sunderland many moons ago getting relegated. They were rubbish all season. But when confirmed as relegated , they went crazy in their last couple of matches. They I think beat some team 5-0. And another I think 6-2.
So I do know that relegated teams can still win football matches.
But we need to be ready for Watford. Stop them playing...
Isn't that what this is all about. Winning football matches. Up to us to take the sting out of their tails.
Can't have us beat before a ball is kicked.

If we reverted to a back 5 after the last couple of games I think I’d walk into the sea before kick off.

Pickford

Coleman
Holgate
Keane
Myko

Doucoure
Allan
Iwobi

Gray
Rondon
Richarlison

Gray’s selfish running might actually benefit us against whoever their stand-in LB is, and we can switch it up and go long to The Lump when we need to get from back to front quickly, get Richy sniffing around the second balls.

Even in the midst of our dire form this would be a game we’d be in with a sniff of winning. Setting aside my “Everton, that” sense that’s tingling like mad, for a minute, we should brush these aside and defo not have to change our shape to do it.

Yep.....totally agree. But it's time we changed all that. Let's hope that Lampard has a plan to get this match won.
All conjecture when I talk about Everton. Because who really knows what will happen. But after the last two wins , it will be a kick in the teeth if we cannot beat Watford.
My thinking on how things should pan out for the remainder of the season will be kicked into touch , if we cannot get a result against Watford.
I will throw my hands up.......And give up trying to predict anything about this Everton team.
Also would be disappointed if we lose. Not disappointed because we have lost a football match. I'm well used to us losing..
But disappointed because it would most likely mean the old habits have slipped back in. Just my opinion. Up The Toffees.

Jesus man stick to your convictions ??

Anyone else remeber that clown Ben Foster criticising us mean old fans earlier this season? I wonder how the cringeworthy little knobhead will feel when our fans rock up at the bin that is vicarage Road and down out his embarrassment of a fanbase. Maybe if Watford had fans one millionth as good as ours they wouldn't just go down without a fight and treat relegation as an occupation hazard that was inevitable and just somthing to he accepted season after season.
This! 100 times this! Hate that absolute turbo gimp. Bet he can't wait to get his GoPro back out in the championship next season
