Wayne Rooney

What would you say his current level would be? Mid table team? Lower table team? Championship? SPL?

Just curious as to how you define it

Manu are getting slated by all and sundry (RS infested media at the forefront) and the fans are disgruntled with the style of play. And where does Rooney go on a Monday night, when he is injured? Goodison Park with his lad for all the world to see. Rooney will only get his 'mojo' back when he has something to play for. And that is us. The ball is in his court.

Please take him. Hes so bad.

The appearance at Duncan's testimonial, turning up with his lad tonight 24hrs before a UTD game which is pretty important.

Don't need to read between the lines do we?

It's on I tells ya...maybe...if nobody else comes in with real money... if he takes a sensible wage cut. Though it must be said that the wheelers and dealers at our Marketing Dept. will have no trouble getting him his own sponsor

Nah not gonna happen...should do mind...but won't.

Can someone please point out to me where he'd fit in our team at the moment? Who would you drop to accommodate him?

Don't want him back at all. We have an exciting young team, we don't need his massive ego coming in when he's quite clearly past it as a player, being on comfortably more wages than anyone else in the squad. Nah you're alright Wayne, see you in the MLS

Rooney on the left hand side, brilliant. Sure that's been tried before by United and England, and was swiftly binned off because he was hopeless
He was more than effective there, hence Fergie would use him there in most European matches. Most Managers however would prefer to have him in the middle to get him on the ball more, but we've got Ross for that, unless of course you'd prefer to stick Ross out on the left....

No mate I'd prefer to not have Rooney at all and keep Barkley where he is, and sign a fairly top player in their prime like Yarmolenko for the left hand side, he'd cost about the same as Rooney and probably be on less wages

Easy.
Straight swap for Kone, to the left of Barkley, supporting Rom, combining with Baines, getting in the box when the ball comes in from Del. 15-20 goals a season easy.

One can mentally visualise that scenario.
Financial considerations aside, this has a distinct air of possibility about it.
I've always thought that WR would return at some point, he owes himself and us a derby-winning screamer and THAT would complete a stellar career !!!

As if we'd struggle to find a place for Rooney in our team, seriously. He's having a bad season because his manager has taken the joy out of his game, he was all set to beat Charltons record this season but that looks highly unlikely now. A fresh challenge would keep him at the top level for another 2 or 3 years if he adapted his game accordingly.
