This was my thought. He wants first team football, I'd prefer our players who are on the up, not a last chance saloon for Rooney to get to 2018 WC. The thought of Lookman or Barkleys progression being stunted by Rooney ain't for me

I think zlatan is a better player but i agree. Look at what barry was able to do for 2-3 seasons whrn he got hereHumiliating really?????
Look at what a 35 year old Zlatan is doing, he is making Utd into winners again, why? because he is a winner himself!! Just like Rooney is a winner and who is 3 years younger!!
He spent 13 years in that club. Really bad from him to want a scoring record in a club where he spent majority of his career and won everything he could! And we won exactly nothing during that timeline and we would likely win nothing as well even if Rooney would stay here, we may even relegate without selling him... I have exactly zero problem that he likely sees EFC as 1A and MU as 1B after all that time he spent in that club. It is absolutely understandable. Oh and how many players of other clubs came here to watch a game? How many players would decline world record salary in China to play for EFC?He wanted the United scoring record. It's more important to him than little old Everton.
Boss fan though. Top blue.
I do see the attraction of an in-form Rooney coming on in the second half to play behind Lukaku but how often would that happen? I'll support him if he comes but I'm not eager for it.

I don't see Rooney getting worse and worse mate. I still see a very very good playerThat's fair, I also thought the same but he's come here and continued to succeed in this league. Whereas Rooney has got worse and worse, Even LVG was shoehorning him into a holding midfield role.
I get the appeal, I really do
And Morgan Scheiderlin couldn't even make the squad half the time in a team 1 place above us!!!Take the blue-tinted specs off for a bit. If he wasn't a blue would you be interested? He barely gets a game for the team 1 place above us in the league and he's only gonna get worse.
I heard Zlatan broke all sorts of records during his medical with united in the summer.Zlatan doesn't smoke twenty a day and bang grannies.
When Rooney is 35, I'd be very surprised if he could run for the bus .

Ten years since Artic Monkeys debut ruined me the other day.Jesus this is his thirteenth season at United. Where does the time go?.
