I put £3 on him at 25/1 four years ago for his next permanent move to be Everton. All of these petty disagreements are imaterial, I want the money.

Looking forward would be the entire reason we may/will sign him mate, outside the UK it would be an absolutely huge signing and will shock lots of people, the manager, director of footy both seem to want him, and various players have talked about how much they rate him, least of all lukaku
If Rooney did sign, the calibre of player we can retain or sign would increase, that's almost a guarantee. So for building a better team it ticks a lot of boxes.
On a free transfer I can not see an issue. What's happened, happened and who would you rather have as a second forward/ to replace Lukaku? Niasse, Kone or Rooney?
It would be funny if Liverpool did go for Joe Hart, they have had a mare in that department recently, if they went and wasted money on him that would be fantastic!!!RS bound anyways
You have a higher opinion of him than I do. I'm not sure he is the type of player younger skilful players want to play with anymore. You do make a good point about the manager wanting him and that is very important.
One word of caution, we have bought some outstandingly mediocre players recently.[/QUOTE]
Developing into a good team though, which is the most important thing.
As much as I don't like or forgive him as an Evertonian. That's the only reason I have for not wanting him here. He'd have to win things with us and give us some great moments for me to forgive him. But people giving footballng reasons to why he shouldn't come are wrong. My brain tells me it's a good move for many footballing/comercial reasons. My principles don't.
Next time he starts in the PL for United, if he ever does again, watch the entire game. He is done at this level.
I just don't think he is motivated at United at all. A big part of Rooneys game is fire and desire and it's not there at United anymore.
Hart
VVD Keane Williams
Gana Morgs Davies
Barkley Rooney BelgianKev
Lukaku
Ok maybe so, but whoever we bring in will have to accept being second fiddle to Lukaku. What player will accept potentially limited chances to play and is an improvement on what Rooney can offer?Neither of those will be here next season so it's a moot point.
My answer would be..someone else. Other players do exist.
