Very true, You may add Big Dunc, when we brought him back. He did spend a lot of time on the Physio table but he brought a passion back to the club, and he scored some well timed goals when we needed them. I think Rooney would do the same.

Big difference to how Ferguson left compared to Rooney though...
 
I think he'd be a good signing, would be passionate and professional. Also think the impact he would have on some of the younger players, namely Ross, would be brilliant - say what you want about Rooney but he was always one of the strongest characters at united
 
Regardless of how he left and some of his antics when 30000 people were giving him a hard time at Goodison, he clearly is still a supporter of Everton and as such would give his all when/if he comes back next season. That alone i reckon would be worth an extra 10 - 15% extra in the performances he has put in for United over the last few seasons. The lad has still got it, he is just being frozen out at United by Mourinho and i would be happy to see him in an Everton shirt next season and i bet he would be one of our better performers week in, week out.

I really think he has. He hasn't played a great deal this season but that's not necessarily because he has not got it anymore, more to do with Mourinho's management style. The lad would be one of our best players next season i reckon.

You are basing this off nothing though. You may be right but there is currently zero evidence to back this up.
 

I'm really 50/50 on the whole thing.

Sometimes I think it would be great to have him back. Then I remember he's not a young lad anymore, quite the opposite in fact, and he's nowhere near as good as he was.
But then having a player like him with us has positives too...i'm just not convinced that they're all on the pitch sadly.

@Mikey_Fitzgerald - what's your opinion on Rooney coming back?
