Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

Wonder if Barkley is delaying his decision to see if the traitor does return ? After all its Barkleys place he'll be in competition for.

This true Evertonian waited until four days before the window shut to hand in his transfer request knowing he had the club over barrel. His last season with us he got more yellows than goals, and I would fancy him to carry that trend on next season.
The anniversary of Alan Ball, this true evertonian did this too..

Do you know if he was lighting the world up and still a world class player, I would commend you armchair romantics, but his legs fell off about 4 years ago and he spends his time chasing a ball round like a rottweiler off the lead, I honestly wonder when you will get bored of him collecting this supposed half his income off us which works out roughly 150k a week for him to be hauled off at half time and doing his best Mirallas impression

Bring him back as a youth assistant to Unsworth maybe? but as a player, Jesus christ no.

I wasn't being totally serious like....

But how would that have stopped us?

Stop defending him, he is a bad meff.
I'm not really defending him, just pointing out the facts.

And the whole badge kissing was a reaction to being goaded for 85 minutes by 35k+ Evertonians. As an 18 year old lad what would you have done in that situation?

I honestly don't really care if he comes back either way. He's just a football player.

And the whole "not running with the ball" at all anymore. It's sad really, his goal at Leeds for us and away at Highbury were brilliant, but he isn't capable of that now, combined with his ludicrous wages, it's a no from me.

If it was me?

It wouldn't have happened because I would still have been playing for Everton because I'm not a snide.

I am not overly bothered about it but genuinely (if I had no choice about being sold) I would never ever have done what he did under any circumstances at any age. I would totally understand how the fans would feel (being one myself) and would have just got on with it in as professional a manner as possible.

My brain functioned when I was 18 though.

Exactly this.
This myth that he 'saved the club' is frankly ludicrous. Everton did not appoint one of the most rapacious, devious, disreputable agents to administer his affairs and secure a financially lucrative move for him. Any financial benefits Everton accrued where purely incidental to the whole affair, however beneficial they proved to be. It's like thanking the thief who stole your car because the insurance got you a newer model.
Once a traitor always a traitor.
