Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

He's been playing since he was 16, his legs now are the equivalent of a 36 year old players. He would be a ten minute sub for us on big wages now. No thanks

I hate this playing since he was 16 argument... Almost every player has been playing since before that, different amounts, different levels. And so he was playing men's football at 16... He was strong enough to cope with it because he was a freak and men were bouncing off of him.

And because he was in the team at 16, he didn't play every week, and often as a sub, or was subbed off. He started playing regularly at 18, and the flip side to all of that, is he's also had the very best coaches, medics, Dr's and physios looking after him on a daily basis as well.

People make out as though all players are finished when they are 30 just because some are, and the comparison I see the most Is Owen. Owen and Rooney are completely different cases. Owen was a speed merchant, and had very little else to his game, combined with a touch that made Rom look like Ronaldinho in comparison, so him losing a yard of his pace meant a lot. Rooney, is and always has been one of the most intelligent players in the league, he thinks on a different wavelength to almost everyone else, he is fantastic passer of the ball and he has always had excellent close control and composure.

People talk about life style and looking after himself, well i always think back to Peter Beardsley and the stories about his diet. He played on for years at the top level. Not all players have to look like Ronaldo to be fit enough to play football, and if they did, there would be a hell of a lot less professional footballers in the world.

The biggest issue with Rooney has always been his mentality. He was often hot headed, full blooded, easy to wind up, rash, and argumentative. But he has managed that side of his game a lot over the years. Recently, it appears to have been lack of motivation and or boredom that appears to have affected him the most, ever since the initial fall out with Ferguson. A move back to Everton could be the spark he needs to set him going again.

Not so sure he's always taken a dozen or so games to get up to speed, whilst it would be good to have a winner around the squad he won't get that consistent run with us just bits here and there. I agree with the motivation point but I also think physically he's hit a wall sooner than most.

Nope

Reading he wants a £30m payoff from Man U, not greedy our Wayne, if true.
30mill is the remainder of his contract I think. Why would they pay that when they can keep him as a squad player and earn money off merchandise sales. They may want him to go somewhere where they will get a transfer fee but doubt many would pay one with a big wage on top.

To be completely fair if this story is true he wants the money owed to him in his contract , it hardly makes him Bernie Madoff .

More likely if there is any truth in the story it's a negotiating start point so he can get Man U to help facilitate the move elsewhere by paying a little bit of the money and ease the financial burden on his new club .

If he wants the money then just stay where he is and see out his contract. If he wants to play more football take a drop in wages and move on. But this traitorous fat toad wants it all, like the spoilt, self centred, gormless brat he is. He's utterly repellent.

So rather than trying to negotiate the best financial deal for himself he should just walk straight away ? Why would anybody do that ?

I don't particularly like Rooney , I certainly didn't like how he left and I don't really want him back although it's not a strong opinion but some of the stuff spoken about him doesn't make a lot of sense to me . I avvekt that it Might just be me.
