I remember watching his United debut.
That hat trick hurt deep man.
The most important consideration for Rooney is financial. I hope his wife reminds him of that. If he receives 1 pound less than his contracted Man U amount, (300,000/wk), then no move anywhere should even be contemplated . His children's inheritance dictates his decision...as it does all of us.
Money first, money second and money third...emotion, sentiment etc should not even enter the equation
Same here. Don't hate him for what happened in the past, it's just that I think he's well past his best. Big risk that he'll be more of a hindrance to us than he'll be an improvement. But indeed if you can get his hunger back, he might become a tremendous addition to the Everton revolution. For me it's not got a lot to do with anything detrimental that's gone on in the past more to with getting him back at the twilight of his career and the worry that he has become a shadow of his former self on the pitch. I can see that he'd still be miles better than the attacking options we've had the past few years at least bar Lukaku obviously but it would do my head rar in if he came back and flopped after having a boss career away from us so I'd rather not take the chance on him and get someone else in instead. On the other hand if he came back and we unleashed the Thug in him and he was boss again it'd be tremendous all round.
Letting him go on loan to the club of his choice and supplementing his wages is very sentimental if you ask me.....Would be a disgrace - sick of Everton being Man Utd's feeder club and retirement home for cast offs.
Man Utd aren't showing their legend any sentiment, Everton shouldn't either.
He's past it, he's not good enough to be an integral part of any team with genuine ambition to compete for the top four. Move on...
Yes Ian it is. Well according to the interweb.....This is going to happen isn't it?
