Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

Got to laugh at all the romantic delusion. How do people genuinely believe that all Rooney wants is to play for his boyhood team again and win a trophy? Like it's some kind of fairytale he still dreams about. Do me a favour. Wayne Rooney sees £ signs every time he closes his eyes and that's it. Anyone that thinks he still cares about Everton, get real. He cares as much about Everton as Jamie Carragher cares about Everton.

Which is why he watches Everton with his kids as often as he can, is it?

I've got nothing against Rooney at all. He's always been a Blue and always will be.
Wouldn't want him back as yet another refugee from the United scrapheap. He is not the way forward for us.

What does that mean? A "blue" that jumps ship at the first opportunity and gives his best years to an opposition team and slides across the Goodison turf on his knees having banged in the latest goal against Everton? Are we the only club that has such a weird view like this?

He's a boyhood blue, so regardless of the fact he served an opposing club throughout his prime years and hit the back of the Everton net umpteen times in sheer delight, he's alright la.

Think of the fantastic thread on here (I've spent many a day just going through it) with all the great images of players who served this club with great distinction throughout the years, perhaps the image of Rooney kissing the United badge after he scored against Everton (again) could go in there?

The actions of a teenager over 10 years ago. You're still bitter about it? Really?

I'm kin torn...if we get the rejuvenated player that we know he can be at an affordable wage whilst Everton are plastered around the the world's sports media channels...Great ;)
...if however we end up paying daft wages to a dried up, past his best, spongey, granny shagger for the next 2-3 years ...well that's just midden :(
@Derek Acorah ...I'm aware that Sam knows that 'Mary loves [Poor language removed]' but can you ask him to help me on this one please?

See jags has been talking about him coming back here now with that "watch this space" comment. Since he's mates with Rooney through England I'd assume this might actually happen.

Got a link to jags comments?

The 31-year-old striker has found game time hard to come by under Jose Mourinho which has sparked rumours of his departure from Manchester United.

“He is an Evertonian and I am sure the fans would take to him,” Jagielka said.

“He has built the bridges that he potentially burnt many years ago when he was a young lad and you’ll have to watch this space.”

Hahahaha, it's like BK gave them the handbook on jibbing Evertonians off.
