Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

The other argument I don't get is that he would be good influence for the youth, why? If anything he's shown himself to be a poor professional throughout his career. The drinking, gambling and smoking, banging birds behind his wife's back, one of which was an actual pensioner, taking his club for an absolute ride on his contract renewals (which is a main source of Utd fans beef with him) and just generally not putting in the sort of extra graft fitness wise to stay ahead of the curve like the likes of Ronaldo and giggs did

I'm not sure Giggs and off field activities make a great argument in this instance.

But Mourinho isn't our manager. Koeman is.

And Koeman clearly thinks differently.
Yes but you used the argument that Mourinho didn't rate Mata or Lukaku. Since I pointed out the obvious flaw in your argument (Mourinho clearly did rate Rooney) you've now moved the goalposts.

If you want to disagree with Mourinho's judgement then fine just don't use illogical arguments & then move the goalposts when someone points it out.

Its been none stop on SKY /Talksport/BBC.

He is one of the worlds most popular players.

Yes, because he plays for Manchester United and was England's captain.

Once he comes to us he will be neither of those things.

He is well known, he is hardly an icon.

A point well made and hard to argue with. With regard to fitness levels he's a contrast to Barry who has always conducted himself as a model pro.

Our most popular player on Instagram is Lukaku on 300k followers.

Rooney has over 10m.
