Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

I know the champions league final qualifier is always live on tv (you can bet your last dollar it will be with the RS being in it) but is the final qualifier of the Europa League televised live? If not, I'm sure the club could agree a one off deal to screen the game as Rooney making his debut in front of a 40k full house at goodison under the lights would be too good an opportunity to turn down. Just maybe the increased profile of the club this summer due to its transfer policy will begin to pay dividends with our exposure on live tv.

remember us getting battered by bucherest on ITV, so i think they are.

Can see us being the Monday night game against Stoke. They'll milk it all weekend.

But isn't the final qualifier before that? That's why I'm thinking they will want it on tv if its Rooney's debut in front of a full house.
I agree though stoke Monday night should be on.

If we get drawn away in the qualifying we'll have Rooneys second debut, Rooney's home debut, Rooney's Premier League debut blah blah blah... at least it'll take the pressure of Pickford and co!

It's weird for us foreign Blues who only got on board in recent years... like my opinion is incomplete or even invalid. I can totally understand why Evertonians would still be mad at the idea of Rooney coming back. But I wasn't around when he left or kissed the badge or any of that. I don't have any of that pain to work through.

Speaking as somone who lived in liverpool while that was happening, I would have been delighted to see him back 6 years ago.

It's the way he did that and then has come back now he's old and unmotivated for one last payout that annoys.

It's a poor consolation prize for having missed him in his prime to get this version of him. And it's a move that, like everything else he's done, is better for Wayne Rooney than for Everton.
