Baines was really awful tonight in fairness. I still maintain he has something to offer if we get a manager who knows how to attack though.

Former Manchester United Football Club Legend Wayne Rooney was okay but in every game he is just a huffing and puffing embodiment of the crap decisions being made by this supposed New Everton.

I think he's the only one who can pick a pass, looks like scoring, tries balls no one else is capable of or willing to try, gets lobbed around all places and still looks better than them all.

That's just my opinion though mate. I'd have him as high up the pitch as possible because he literally looks like the only player capable of scoring.

I don't think he's the one getting shoe horned into the side, I think it's everyone else.

He simply has to be disciplined. His job is to support the centre forward. No to stand in front of Baines.

And until those 10 Nyarkos pull their finger out he's gping to look like bloody Messi in Koemans eyes and won't be going anywhere.

I honestly think Koeman needs a massive game Sunday, maybe not in result but performance wise if we get what we've just had the last 3 games then he's on borrowed time. I know your not a massive Koeman fan and this is what you probably expected but to be so early in the season and be performing so poorly is a real kick in the guts.

A 20-0 win against the mancs Sunday wouldn't half make me feel better.

Depressing that we've gone from Lukaku and Barkley to that. I probably agree they're our best bet, I just don't think Rooney will do much for us in that position.

We may as well just play one holding mid and give him the free to waltz around the field role. That way we can put a natural CAM in his place and still benefit from his passing. Win-win
