You seem to have a problem distinguishing the Rooney of 2004-2012 and the lump of lard we currently have.
I believe them players are much better suited to playing in the Premier League than this over-the-hill flump just spraying passes in the hope one of them comes off.

Rooney is a hinderence to the game plan and has to be accommodated. That should not be the case for a player earning £150k p/w.
As I’ve said, go check out some neutral opinions. I know you’re a Rooney fanboy, but I think you need to take the tinted specs off and see him for what he is.

You said it. He HAS to be accommodated. And what a sad state of affairs when we clearly knew he was coming early on, yet we could not form a transfer strategy to buy players that would fit around England's all time leading goalscorer, multiple league title winner and champions league winner. Players like that HAVE to be accommodated. We had the perfect opportunity to change it up, buy players to compliment his qualities and play to his strengths this season. We didn't and yet he has still has a massive positive impact on this horrible, horrible season. And even now, if we still can't find a game plan and combined 11 to accommodate him, then sadly we are wasting 100 grand a week on our new manager.

Sigurdsson has shown what he can do in his position and he almost singlehandedly saved a team from relegation last season. What has Rooney done since 2012? United fans wanted him out.
