All great careers come to an end and compared to others he wasn’t too shabby in an Everton shirt last season. I think he’ll be appreciated and celebrated lots in years to come. Content he’s moving on but glad I saw him play.

Once his MLS career is over, Rooney is expected to return to Goodison Park as a coach after reportedly negotiating a deal with Everton.

Happy with that. It's what he should have done last year.
