...I was thinking similar myself. We beat Stoke 1-0 and nobody would be interested but because Rooney scored its on newscasts all over the globe. I'm sure that's part of the reason he was brought in. More specifically, to raise the clubs profile.

As much as I love watching him, I still hope the Manager uses him sparingly.

Yep, that really was a big outpouring of emotion. I think it showed how much he needed that for himself just as much as for us.

Great to get off the mark early doors, hopefully he now settled down. He said time and time again last season he needed a run of games to get to the level he still feels he can play to and I'm pretty sure Koeman will continue to give him as many minutes as possible.

Not as much as scoring against Stoke but scoring for us at Goodison.

Before I was an Everton fan and soccer was broadcast in the States, I knew of Rooney. What I knew of was he was a Man U player and one of the best in England. What I like most about him was they way he ran-- he ran angry like a V-8 muscle car down a straight way. I have come to learn the history of the club these past 4 years and I am glad he is back on our side. Great player- bar none.

Hillarious, mate. I hope youre right, but its probably a good move to save it till the end of the season. Rooney's got plenty of time to prove you wrong.
