I think he will be rested against Split

I think he has to be, he's already shown how important he's going to be this season. I want him fit and ready for the Chelsea game on the Sunday. Sandro put a photo up on Twitter with his leg in some kind of compression brace so it's pretty hard to see him playing the Split or Chelsea games, DCL has shown he can lead the line so If I was Koeman I wouldn't start Rooney.

I love how, during his interview post game he praised DCL. That was a class move when he could quite easily talked about 200 goals and all that.
