As per the title, this seems to be the main factor for why West Ham want Moyes gone, just like he was maligned by sections of the Everton fan base towards the end of his Everton tenure.

It begs the question; are fans reasonable in their desire for entertainment? Or is it another example of the modern fan being out of touch and entitled?

You, my fellow forum members, shall decide.
Come now, Moyes??? lol

I think it is perfectly reasonable for football fans to be bored to death by coaches like Moyes, game is meant to be played & won - not played to avoid losing

Moyes is one arrogant [Poor language removed]; but West Ham are massively punching.

I think their fans are so caught up in their success that they cannot see who got them there, so I actually believe he's correct.

In an ideal world, Everton win 6-0 every week and play amazingly; but if it was ugly and we won trophies I'd take that over Entertaining and losing most weeks.
So you're saying that West Ham should know their place and not aim for more?

How often have we heard other fans say the same about us? That annoys me and I see no reason to object to another team wanting their club to step up a level even if it means gambling with what gave them stability at their current level - except when they're doing it and Everton aren't daring to be better.

The younger generations have been moulded into customers and not solely 'supporters' (of football or a club in particular). It's what existed in sport moons ago, the competetive element, now it's just going through the motions and taking as much cash from you as possible, but as one of the '14', that cash is just for the PL franchise label and our contribution to a cartel at the top.
There's no denying it, it's just a glorified racket with 'attachment'. If you can pull away you should, but lots can't and that is their USP.

But it's stacked against most with little chance of fair competition so the next goal is to not slip down the ladder.

Before the 10-point deduction we were showing signs of playing a more expansive, attacking football. Since then, we have reverted to Dycheball but feel that to some degree this has been forced upon us as the desire to recover the stolen points has become our main focus. Unfortunately, we have a main striker who currently couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo if the cow was tied to a tree.

We recovered the stolen points immediately though. We would be 12th in the league without them. We should be playing like a side that’s 12th in the league.

A club is not merely there for profit and avoiding relegation but forming players, competing and entertaining fanbase
Once, no more. Unless of course you remove competition and accept that is your purpose and role in maintaing the system and its elite pyramid.

That’s rich coming from a Barcelona fan, where TV money etc. is heavily weighted towards the top 2-3 teams.

No excuses to not be playing wonderfully beautiful tigga tegga when you’re paying your reserve goalkeeper £300k a week.

Moyes has spent a lot of money at West Ham on a number of players who can actually play proper football yet he still persists with % ball and a very negative approach. That's why the hammers fans are fed up with him and I don't blame them.

What I'm saying Is, Moyes is doing s good job there and the delusion West ham have is crazy.

We built with Moyes, and remained loyal despite the lack of trophies.

He's done that at West ham and they want more? U thought we'd be a perfect example of trying to run before you can walk when there are "good times".

He might win the europa and get West ham in the CL. Just feels very spoiled to
Me.

In my opinion the only sides who's could rival that ATM would be Newcastle if they started calling for Eddie Howe.

You sound bitter because my club develops players and insists on entertaining - perhaps you should aspire for more than the sort of mediocrity someone like Moyes can offer

First time I am hearing sport is not meant to entertain but then again some coaches & fanbases care more about the results irrespective of the product on the pitch. Aspire for better

I don't think it's unreasonable.

At heart it's a sport - so it's the results that matter. However, it has been elevated beyond the interests of two sets of opposing eleven players by the tens of thousands that pay and turn up to watch. Its got to the pointvwhere thise fans pay the players. I dont think anybody pays that, and sacrifices their afternoon in the expectation to be bored witless.

For the same cost as a match you could enjoy a few hours out enjoying a meal with a wife date. If your date didn't entertain you by engaging in interesting conversation, or wasn't entertaining by being easy on the eye ... would you do it again?

Which is why so many fans are throwing the towel in and going to watch lower league footy.

Footy is eating itself.
