I’m starting to think there’s a gap in the market for a WWE style approach to our beautiful game that is loved all over the world.

Would it not be better if fans were given a choice to be able to watch a match with 100% guaranteed enjoyment? I mean, fans pay a lot of money. When you go to a concert you don’t expect anything less than an exemplary performance.

Why should elite level professional sport be any different? An exciting new opportunity awaits us.

Get the argument that you've paid to see top level footy, but anyone who's played footy at any level will tell you they feel better coming off the pitch in a game they've won and played crap as opposed to a game they lost but played some really nice stuff.

Think many need to reconnect with the game by playing it,good for mind, body and soul as well.

I get the 'entertainment' argument but I just feel it screams of entitlement, entertain me or else.

I come from a non league supporting background, so I think that is where my attitude to football derives from. I enjoyed it when we won, I enjoyed it when we competed. Some of the best games were error ridden, long ball, hard fought wins/draws/losses.

My point being is that I enjoy watching competitive football, if that be with scintillating fast paced passing and nice triangles being played then great, if it is a hard fought game, with a few more long balls and a few hard tackles going in from both sides then also great.

Depends on what you class as entertaining football. Some people thought the 2010 Barcelona was the pinnacle of footballing excellence, others thought it was dull passing for the sake of it.
West Ham fans are one of those weird fan bases that have their heads so far up their own rectums and adhere to a belief in playing the 'West Ham Way'.

Is it not human nature to want to be scintillated though. Dour football is fine when you're winning, or if you're an underdog, but when you're playing like that and losing constantly I can understand why people would get fed up with it.

I remember being at a neutral game involving Dyche's Burnley and they so horrific to watch I just couldn't pay money to watch that if I was a Burnley fan. If some think that makes me entitled then fine but I don't think it is.

Or looking back to the Dutch teams of the 70s, they got to 2 world cup finals and lost them both, but are better remembered now than the teams that won them.

I said the title of this thread in the voice of Maximums Decimus Meridius, commander of the armies of the North and Felix legion's.

In that first sentence you have hit the nail on the head, winning and losing.

If you are winning then this is where the entitlement comes in, if you are losing then you have a right to complain about the style of play.

At the end of the day, for me, winning and losing comes first and the style of football comes second. That is the beauty of football, there is more than one way to win a game of football.

Neutral football, is a different argument. Wanting to watch good football when a neutral is certainly not entitlement. However, as I mentioned, I like competitive football. If I went to see a game and it was close and competitive then there is a good chance I would be entertained, regardless of the style of football. If it was 2 teams playing it around nicely but cancelling each other out and not creating chances then that would be boring, if it was 2 teams who play it long more but both created lots of chances, then there is a very good chance that I will be entertained.
