Yeah he's completely done.

That said, I think that only someone of his gravitas and force of personality would be able to make us believe again and finally rid ourselves of the kenwright/moyes-esque plucky underdog malaise that permeates the fanbase and club.
This completely done bit , he basically finished 6th with a 49% win record and Foncesca who he replaced had 5th and a 51% but obviously mourinho won the europa conference and got to the final of the Europa.

Like I said earlier I think his star is slipping but completely finished feels like a stretch .

being completely honest I would love him here but I think his football for the most part has been left behind.

I just think him and evertonians would be a match made in heaven.

I want games against us to be Horrible to play again. MEHA.

Yeah to an extent I agree with you the fact that we’d sign somebody I probably always wanted as the game has evolved and his career is completely coming down the mountain feels like the most Everton thing ever.

I'd hazard a guess if want him as our manager you're probably the type of person who gravitates towards drama and leaves passive aggressive notes on lampposts about dogs pooing in the street and people parking in your space.
There was a guy near us who used to put flags on cocktail sticks into dog poos.

He then migrated to more of a Banksy approach, using a water-soluble spray paint and stencil to paint ‘clean it up’ messages next to them.

As passive aggressive as it was, it did make them easier to spot, which I liked.

We're potentially coming out of probably the most tumultuous period in the history of the club, with terrible football, perpetuated by horrendous managerial appointments and staring into the financial abyss all due to rampant mismanagement.

Last thing we need when there's finally some light at the end of the tunnel is dinosaur mourinho coming along with his petrol can to set fire to it all. We need someone who unifies and builds.

A very clever, innovative manager who was long ago consumed by his own ego. If his team wins it is down to him and him alone, if his team loses it is all down to the team. Far too toxic a mentality to bring into a club as fragile as ours.

I`m sure that last line would be more suited to Dyche who is already in situ.

I`m of the opinion we go and get the best manager available and although like most he wouldn`t be top of my list, if it was him I wouldn`t be disappointed.

Looking at some of the comments on here really shows some sort of entitled snobbery and some opinions that Dyche is a better option than Mourinho is absolutely baffling and deluded in the extreme. If you think Mourinho is no better than Dyche, Allardyce or Moyes, well, I don`t think football is for you.

Even recently with Roma who are not a top team in Italy he won a European trophy and got to a European final twice, are we turning our noses up at that? Only failed to win a trophy at one of his clubs and that was Spurs, even then he was sacked in the week leading up to a cup final.... Again would we be disappointed with European football, Domestic and European finals every season?

FWIW I don`t think Mourinho is coming to Everton but dome need to adjust their perspective somewhat....

Lad, every manager is probably better than Dyche, nowhere in my post did i suggest otherwise, but if you think Mourhino is the best available option for Everton, then I would suggest football isn't for you. Mourhino is a toxic personality, that is a fact. Every club he goes to now het gets binned because within 6 months every player at the club has downed tools. He is a busted flush mate!

I can`t see where I typed he was the best option.... I said he wouldn`t be top of the list...

The comparison wasn`t aimed at you, believe it or not there is Dyche supporters on here who would keep Dyche over appointing Mourinho and building our club in to some of the biggest in the world he has worked for. Unless that is your view!!!!

Its a moot point because I`d be staggered if he ended up here.

3 questions/thoughts m I’ve thought about this morning.
A) he’s not gonna want to work for a boss who’s already sacked him, is he?
B) he’ll want mega money and I don’t think TFG be willing to pay him what he wants knowing they could be sacking and paying him off again within 6 months.
C) he’ll look at this squad and know it’ll be hard to get a tune out of, will he want to damage his rep further? He’s on a downward spiral as it is lately imo.

I’m on the fence with him if he does join, however I don’t think he will.

I think mourinho should have thrown in the towel after his man utd stint. He would have left the game still considered a legend.

But numerous failed efforts after that have lessened his reputation I feel. He is a manager who's early successes we're in large part down to his charisma and he lost that a long time ago and now seems a run of the mill standard coach.

In that Tottenham documentary he sounded like a Sunday league manager swearing with every other word and just didn't seem like the guy of the past who everyone wanted to play for but more like a negative version of his former self who people wouldn't want to play for.
