No mate. That groups of that type will often find themselves able to recruit a normal fella into their ranks by having legit grievances that people like me share.

I imagine that once a part of these groups they sell you the other stuff not on the brochure.

Doesn't make me a racist to have real fears that a dramatic rise in the Islamic population of Great Britain would be disastrous.
 
Back almost on topic for a minute:

In an interview with the Cambridge News on Wednesday, headteacher Caroline Peet confirmed that the incident was “not a one-off” and had been treated seriously “due to the significant number of children involved”.
Mrs Peet told the paper: “We understand from Lunchtime UK that this was not a one-off event and due to the significant number of children involved the company treated the issue with the seriousness it deserved.
“As her employer it was wholly up to Lunchtime UK to decide what appropriate action to take."

It transpires that it wasn't an isolated mistake, neither was it a purely religious matter, the majority of the children affected were vegetarians being served meat.

Strange that the part of the story that made the headlines was that which was guaranteed to sell papers.

Anyone would think that the correlation between times of economic hardship and intolerance (be it nationalistic, religious or ideological) was more than an urban myth.

Sure, I think certain fears are sensible. I think they're exaggerated somewhat, I work with a turkish muslim who is the furthest thing from a zealot you'll ever meet so it's a not like moderates don't exist, but I absolutely understand were you're coming from.

I just want to be clear noone's defending the edl and bnp as alright guys rather than maniacs who happen to have a valid point buried among the insanity.

Though I admit I'm biased because the bnp and other far right groups have made it entirely clear that once the muslims are dealt with, I'm public enemy number two.

I find anyone who can find literal meaning in books from thousands of years ago a little bit silly so I'm never that keen on any religion. I'd be more than happy to see Christianity die on it's arse too. Just that isn't as worrying for me personally.

Ive got better stuff to be doing on a Saturday like fapping away my hangover. Just please stop using the EDL as part of your argument, it is so unbelievably irrelevent. If people actually woke up and listened to peoples legitimate frustrations then the EDL wouldn't need to exist.

I thought you were better than this. NIK has made some fair points, but you try to tie him to EDL or BNP and tbf that is not what he has been saying. If you can't argue the point with him by virtue of balanced argument please don't try to vilify him by association to some far right or left grouping. He is making some fair points, just do the same.......

Weird that they have black people and Sikh's who march with them really. Again, media dictates. Do your homework. I have, and decided that its still not a crowd I want to hang around with, but it doesn't make them a racist organisation. Its a standard insult to shut down talking about their legitiamate grievances.
