We're going down aren't we?

We'll go down if Keane keeps starting games.

Look at his record: last season he made nine prem appearances and we lost seven of those games. Only once did we keep a clean sheet when he started a game. We conceded 2+ goals in five of those nine games.

Back in 22-23, he made 12 prem appearances... Seven draws (only one clean sheet), four losses and one win (also a clean sheet). Conceded two or more in seven of those games.

Keane is a fundamentally flawed player who costs us goals, and results, at a disproportionate and alarming rate. Opponents can play balls on the ground into space behind him and he can't turn or run to get to them. He can't position himself to win a header so gets beaten in the air over and over in every game.

I don't care that he pops up with a goal or two every season. We lose 50% of the games in which he plays. We concede 2+ in virtually 60% of the games where he appears. In his last 24 prem appearances we've kept FOUR clean sheets... against Palace, Brentford, Burnley and then Brentford again. Although he only played one minute in the more recent Brentford fixture.

Keane is utter poison. If he plays 20 games this season we'll lose at least ten of them and concede thirty goals in the process. He's beyond finished and should never, ever play a prem game for Everton ever again.

He had a good preseason tho......

We'll be fine. When Dyche is sacked.
Ah, we said the very same thing when Martinez, Koeman, Allardyce, Silva, Benitez, and Lampard were sacked.

Guess what? We weren't and aren't. We're still the walking dead, the undead zombie who will hang on in the top flight to fulfill the club's role as comic relief in the Premier League.

I wonder what could possibly be the common denominator for this consistent failure?

You having a dig at the fans, lad?

My guess is Mickey Keane even if he wasn't there for all managers. I don't care still blaming him.

Mate, look at that list of names. The common denominator is that we hire shocking managers every single time.

You only need to get it right once and things can change very quickly. Look at Villa, now one of the top sides in the country. Nobody would have guessed that would happen when Gerrard looked like he was going to relegate them.

We're on the same page. This is exactly my point: the problem lies at board level and has since 1987.

We need new ownership to have a chance again. Everything else is choreography.

I agree that we only have a chance at being a serious club again when we have a serious owner. Thing is who knows when that will be sorted out, could be months could be over a year.

I can't shake the feeling that Dyche will relegate us this season if given the opportunity, we can't wait for the resolution of any prospective takeover to address what we're seeing on the pitch.

A lot of fans feel like they're in limbo atm and that we're stuck with Dyche because of our ownership situation, financials all of that stuff. It's the only reason he's in the job today and wasn't sacked last season. We need to bin that idea as a fanbase.

Moshiri can sack him and if we fans apply enough pressure and kick up enough of a stink he will be forced into action.

I don't think it'll make much difference. As I said, choreography.

I'm no longer alarmed by relegation or Championship football. My threshold of pain has been reached. To be expected to fight for survival with no hope in sight once more is to insult me to a point that I will no longer tolerate.

I don't care if we go down. The culture at this club needs burning to the ground. Rotten to the core.

Don't let them crush your spirit mate. Relegation and rebirth isn't the only way. We're on the cusp of change, new stadium and new owners on the way. Major squad rebuild to happen next summer. We're at the final hurdle.

Again I'd say look at villa and see how quickly things can change. We just need to get that decision on a new coach right once and everything suddenly looks very different. Worst thing that can happen to us now is for the fans to give up, we're the only thing that's kept this club going the last few years.

Most likely a certainty. A miracle is needed perhaps a new owner with passion could undue all this pain. My thought is a drop could be a great reset and not bandaid over emotional stress year in a year out.
