Our home record is nowhere near good enough to keep taking away draws. Quite simply if you want top 4 you have to take more than three points out of Watford Swansea and West Brom regardless of whether it's home or away. If we draw against WBA we're putting massive pressure on ourselves to win a fixture we haven't won in 5 years. That's followed by United who look good this year. I know we've had a difficult start and have done quite well point wise but it's exactly this acceptance of draws at poor sides which is why we are mid table a lot of the time. We could have put down a huge statement for top 4 this season as we have played well enough to beat Watford Swansea and Spurs. We should be up around second or even first. Instead yet again we're behind the likes of Liverpool and Spurs who have had poor starts all because we fail to beat the cannon fodder and default to drawing games whenever we're in danger of doing well and getting on a good winning run.

Bloody hell mate chin up.

We're only behind Spurs and Liverpool as they've played a game more. They were behind us before yesterday.

we might just create more opportunities at their place because they will have to have a go.
They really didn't against Southampton mate.
Two banks of four camped on the edge of their box, try to nick a goal from a set piece or on the break.
Was like Moyes away at the top four.

Getting 60 odd points in a season where the squad is being restructured is very decent. Do that playing attacking football is all we can ask for right now.

We're past the restructuring phase, aren't we? This is a truly Martinez team, no Europa or other distractions with a fairly decent first 11. By all rights, we should be hoping for a trophy in the next 2 or 3 seasons.

We've only played 3 games at home so far, two of them against the champions and the champions elect this season for ffs. Stop moaning. Out of our other games we got a very good win to a team that finished 7th last year, and two creditable draws away to likely rivals for a top 6/5 position.

...I know it's 'swings and roundabouts' but there is a bit of the fortune factor in the timing of games. We probably played Southampton, Chelsea and Spurs at the right time but City at the wrong time. I suppose the game we feel we most missed out was the opening game but the reality is we came from behind to get a draw.

All in all a very reasonable start that we need to build on.

To be honest Eggs I don't think saying we played them at the "right time" gives us any credit at all. We were marvellous against Southampton and Chelsea and we'd have beaten any team in this country on those days. The fixtures haven't fallen kindly and there's more coming up in a short space of time that won't be easy but hopefully we can't take confidence into those games we got from the matches I've mentioned.

SD's point was we've not done enough at home, yet its only been 3 games, that includes two of the very toughest home games we'll have this season. He's just moaning for moanings sake. The bigger picture is we've had a reasonable start after a difficult run of games and we sit comfortably in the table, a win tomorrow should take us to 5th and surely nobody can moan about that.
