Just got back from this. Disappointed not to get a draw there, but in all fairness the mistake for their second, plus the sending off, makes it hard to argue a case for getting anything from this one - you can't do that and expect to get a result. But I thought we did OK on the whole, and while Lampard won't have marked that game down as one he expected to get anything from, it was entirely possible, given it was a fairly close contest.

On the plus side, I thought there was a big improvement in both the general shape of the team and, more importantly, attitude. The sky didn't fall in when we went behind (twice) nor when we went down to 10 men, so it was good to see that the heads didn't drop at these crucial moments - the same sort of attitude and effort (plus change) will be needed at Turf Moor. I definitely sensed a change in mentality today, so we need to keep that going for the run-in.

Special mention, as ever, for my fellow travelling Blues who, unlike the team, always put in a good shift.

Agree with this. I thought we did alright. Would have got something if it wasn't for Keane and Iwobi.

I agree and accept all that
But what gets me is for a team in our position there should be players bursting a gut for the club
Ok we may have tried hard but it wasn’t enough for our predicament
We need more blood and guts from our players

think we're likely to get relegated
going to burnley now under immense pressure
holding out for the glimmer of hope in the returns DVB, Alan and MIna

I have not said a word against Lampard so far but I feel he was wrong today, not playing our best player in Gorden from the start and even then bringing him on just 12 minutes from the end. I know DCL was not playing well but we were getting beat when he takes off a striker. I also Firmly believe that Patterson is not getting a look in because of what he said after the Scotland game last week.
Patterson is injured.
Gordon likely rested for Wednesday

You don't deserve to be put through the expense and wasted time. Real heroes.

They’re both letting us down, and the galling thing is they’re the two lads touted for big money moves. You don’t typically get tons of chances in the prem, and from the Brighton home game onwards the pair of them have missed plenty, and barely scored (if at all). If we go down they’re culpable and no mistake.
I’d sell both in a heartbeat for anything over 25m, they flatter to deceive and are not worth anywhere near what they are touted at.
