I watched it too, had seen it before on a plane but fell asleep for the end. I watched it last night to see if it enlightened me.

It didn't. Had to google the ending. Still none the wiser.

Anyone care to help?
 
Basically the Coen brothers are incredibly over-rated hipster gimps that forgot how to make good films in 1998.

Read 'The Road' and thought that was a non ending too. Might be one of those writers who writes good stories but doesn't know how to finish them. Bit like Everton's approach play.
