Was wondering about that. Watched the premiere and liked it, but was wondering if folks who hadn't read the books could follow it.

How have the following episodes been?

Game of Thrones, it's bloody brilliant.

It's fantastic. And according to people who've read the books, the good bit in the story hasn't even started yet.

But the budget, atmosphere, acting and characters are all top notch. HBO have put out yet another winner.

Was wondering about that. Watched the premiere and liked it, but was wondering if folks who hadn't read the books could follow it.

How have the following episodes been?

A lot of backstory and you need to stick with it, but it is largely fantastic.

It's fantastic. And according to people who've read the books, the good bit in the story hasn't even started yet.

But the budget, atmosphere, acting and characters are all top notch. HBO have put out yet another winner.

Yeah, I have read the books (totally different experience but superb btw) it gets better and better and you will never guess the twists along the way of which there are many. Nothing is what it seems and there are not 100% good or bad guys, that's what makes it so good.

With the cast it kind of reminds me of The Full Monty Goes Medieval.

Enjoying it so far though.

Yeah, I have read the books (totally different experience but superb btw) it gets better and better and you will never guess the twists along the way of which there are many. Nothing is what it seems and there are not 100% good or bad guys, that's what makes it so good.

The fact that fans of the books seem to be loving the series shows how good it is. Often bookworms hate visual adaptations of their favourite franchises. I know I usually do!

Anyway, it's highly recommended. This coming from someone who's never been that into the whole medieval fantasy thing.

I've read the books too, only watched the first ep of the series but it seems alright, except for a couple of the characters being a bit wrong. (Cat is a dirty, plain middle aged woman????)

3 in America I think? The last one was the best, anyway.
