Ok m9it's not as bad as what yer lad has to live with
nowadays i don't think kids would get teased for being called something cool like Merlin.
anyone with kids? ask them what they think of the name.
Maybe they're just a big Santi Cazorla fan?
I asked the kids
“That’s be weird”
“I’d give him a wizarding staff”
It’s weird how normal names went out of fashion.
My daughter has a fairly unusual middle name - Flores. She is mixed heritage but not Portuguese like that name. Her first name is a traditional namethat's brilliant! i'd love to have received a wizarding staff from a classmate. what a cool kid you have there, mate
what's normal, tho'...especially in these globalised times, many kids today are multi-cultural: my better-looking half is Hungarian, so we've got 3 different nations in all to choose from when thinking about our future kids' names.
personally i'm all for exotic unique first names, unless they're intentionally weird like Zappa's kids: Moon Unit & Dweezil are a step too far out there, granted.
