Nope,

Think of Eleanor.

(wondering when Danny will step in to politely inform us of the irrelevance of this chat within this thread.) ;)

I have been following the posts on this thread and considered that I should comment.

it would appear from many posts that:-
if you question the board motives or ambition,
the manager's perfomance, transfer dealings etc,
the club's finances,

then you are not a supporter but if you are prepared to accept all is well as some people assert then you are a supporter. As demonstrated by the newbie who told members to f. off and support another club!!!

There are postees who try to browbeat others in to submission to agree to their point of view and if you don't again you can't call yourself a supporter however if you take "two falls and a submission" then you are in. This is the tactic of Ghost and others. Tell me Ghost have you ever wondered why everyone disappeared from TW and no one ever told you where we had gone?

Some may have noticed that some regular postees have been absent of late, it is no coincidence either that this has been generally in line with the apearance of Ghost. You complain of being voted on TW the most negative, have you thought who voted for you? So a great job has been done on disrupting the forum so it's now like TW became!!!

As for me let me make myself clear, I do query what the board are upto and with the finances. I believe much is held back for the new stadium which will be in Kirkby. I am not keen on this but recognise the lack of a plausible alternative. AND I AM A SUPPORTER.

On the subject of the manager I have not been his no 1 fan but appreciate he has done a very good job in the circumstances. I believe he has operated excellently in what must be very constraining parameters. His recent statement for me was him saying that yes he would like these players but not at those prices because the club cannot afford it. He was in my view exercising considerable restraint and being very diplomatic. As for new players there is still time whether there is the finance is another matter. The current squad is probably the best we have had since Moyes became manager and with the youth we have could build into a something special but having said that with the season ahead the numbers are I think not what Moyes would like but he will shoulder on.

That is my view at this time whether I post again I do not know but I am not going to be chased away. A forum is for all points of view.

Robert, I've noticed the change in the forum trend and environment recently as well. In my opinion, this forum might be reaching the same destination as TW, just using different route.

One big difference is that GOT stays up!

As someone who has been on forums since the days of Dial-up and BBS playing Trade Wars and other turn-based PBM's this is what I have come to affectionately refer to the tyrany of number. Basicly, if you get enough people together on the internet there will be a fight. Of course it doens't help that we are all faceless and that text often lacks any of the emotive qualities of body language but there you have it.

guess I'm just a thick-skinned insensitive soul....

personally, I thought it was good to see some frank exchanges of views ,and if anyone gets too personal, or if anyone gets offended, they can contact the mods and have the matter dealt with properly.

As for the topic.....

I don't think Moyes was bemoaning a lack of funds available to him, just echoing the thoughts we've all had about some of the transfers this season:

£5M+ for Koumas
£5M+ for Richardson
£8.5M for Reo Coker
£6-7M for Nugent

Some managers have found the tv money down the back of the sofa and gone [Poor language removed] mental... I'm glad Davey's kept his head on his shoulders pulling in Jags for £3m plus Naysmith (which, in my book, makes it £1.5M;) ) and the soon to be completed capture of Riquelme (crosses everything.... uncrosses knackers, that really hurts)b)

Suits I am not going to be drawn any further and by all means exercise any option you like on postees. It is a "free" world.

Aye Blair no doubt it was all that shouting at you by the non-coms to lick you into shape which explains your description of yourself.

However Riqqy no come on do you really believe that we have him lined up, no way. If we do I shall drink tweny pints on here.

A lot have been said about how great moyes did in getting jag for 4 million. I don't think he should be worship for that. To be honest, like I've mention before, if it's not for jag's 4 million release clause, we might end up losing in a bidding war as well. Thanks the release clause, not moyes.
