prepared to criticise? prepared to castigate? dont know ALL the facts?

If you are prepared to stick the knife in at this point, then when moyes makes his moves and we see how we will take to the new season - IF there are more signings, will you "happily withdraw" your criticism and castigation?

everyone seems happy to praise positive circumstances, youth policy, training grounds etc. Are you all prepared to "happily withdraw" your praise if no good players come through in the next two years? (I don't think you should I just want to highlight one of the myriad logical fallacies in your argument)

Sticking the knife in? Stop being a drama queen. I've not set fire to Goodison Park or thrown paint over Dixies' Statue. I've just pointed out, in a context of numerous media reports (that may prove erroneous or may prove to be true) that this is a critical juncture in Everton's history and we need to back the manager to the tune of four or five great players. Not one good one and maybe a loan player.

I am 100% behind the manager, but even if I wasn't - I'd still be a blue.

Something akin to bullying is happening on this website. It is a forum for blues - not positive supporters or negative supporters or move everton to kirby or stay in Goodison or Sack Moyes or get rid of BK, or keep BK.

We should all have our say and be respected for it. Otherwise censorship will prevail and people will leave this forum. I'm already thinking of it.

If people slag me off fair enough. But not bothering to read the content of my posts and then saying - you think there will be zero signings or you should apologise or you think we should have got Koumas for £9 million.

READ MY [Poor language removed] POSTS.

my criticism is hypothetical. Based on a lack of funds available to our heroic glorious manager.

I am using my right on this forum to voice my concern and don't expect to be attacked for it.

Christ. We already have one forum split. You want another one?

Then we can have everyone on GOT forums like this;

"Hey its really great we only have 17 outfield players that have ever kicked a ball in top flight football"

"Yes, that's totally spot on again. Top post."

that what you want..?

It sounds like you want 'to play' - please, the following isnt personal, just my opinion due to HOW I HAVE PERCEIVED THINGS

Im glad you tagged on the extra bit, facilities dont guarantee anything, in fact there are few guarantees in professional sport, im struggling to see the link between successful youth in years to come and the angst felt over our current predicament whereby in some quarters we havent made enough signings/made signings early enough/spent enough/backed the manager

sticking the knife in as a phrase, as is drama queen, to me "set fire to goodison" - "thrown paint over dixie" smacks of a sizable portion of irony.

media reports? if a fan bought into all 'media reports' there would only be one side in the world, because every player is linked with everyother club to the power 10 - i wonder how west ham feel that cahill and arteta have signed new contracts here and aj has said hes a happy chappy.

media reports are absolute stone cold bullshit - put zero faith in them until the club and the player are in the same picture with a contract.

critical juncture? - i hear what your saying, last times debacle wasnt any fun, but it didnt kill us, here we are two seasons later in europe again.

My opinion of moyes's comments reminds me of the comments he made about "RAISED EXPECTATIONS"

I am 100% behind the manager, but even if I wasn't - I'd still be a blue.

no question there, i have never insinuated otherwise.

Something akin to bullying is happening on this website. It is a forum for blues - not positive supporters or negative supporters or move everton to kirby or stay in Goodison or Sack Moyes or get rid of BK, or keep BK.

I appreciate how you might feel, as i have felt persecuted somewhat in my 'internet career' in numerous different places. the point i believe you are addressing is what i mentioned earlier, will the individuals currently not happy and "sounding off" about their thoughts and fears re-analyse the situation when their initial thoughts and fears turn out to be completely unfounded?

it isnt a device to divide, im genuinley interested to see how deep this feeling goes, and whether anyone having such deep troubles is willing to play along - no force no threat, no malice, no harm done.

We should all have our say and be respected for it. Otherwise censorship will prevail and people will leave this forum. I'm already thinking of it.

I am unaware of any censorship (besides dodgy pill sellers) and i respect your and all/most of the opinions on this board, what i am encouraging is a sign of how deeply you or anyone else feels in their respective opinions - i threw my personal gauntlet down repeatedly with I personally guarantee we will make more signings this summer

Im not demanding you play along, im not going to criticise or sneer if you dont, i cant FORCE you to do anything. i hope you realise there has been no malice on my part, and for the most - no one elses either.

If people slag me off fair enough. But not bothering to read the content of my posts and then saying - you think there will be zero signings or you should apologise or you think we should have got Koumas for £9 million.

no one said the above to my knowledge, "you think there will be zero signings or you should apologise" again slightly ironic in a paragraph that has "not bothering to read the content" - it appears to me that your point is that there shouldnt be such extremes, and perhaps you are right - Question: have you mentioned any extremes?

no comment

my criticism is hypothetical. Based on a lack of funds available to our heroic glorious manager.

hypothetical: questions or situations get hypothetical answers. sorry. the funds point is redundant in my opinion.

I am using my right on this forum to voice my concern and don't expect to be attacked for it.

I hope you dont feel attacked, by me or anyone else, sometimes things can get a bit heated, and posts/words be misinterpretted (me and ghosty have had a few clashes - notably over gravs... but thats ok, i feel i held my own, im sure he feels the same... NO HARM - NO FOUL)

Christ. We already have one forum split. You want another one?

who is the "you" you leonbil are refering too?

Then we can have everyone on GOT forums like this;

"Hey its really great we only have 17 outfield players that have ever kicked a ball in top flight football"

another bad quote unfortunately, i dont recall me or anyone saying it, so again it seems to me to be a little redundant.

"Yes, that's totally spot on again. Top post."

thanks for raising this, im aware of it in a different guise, and i do not approve, although the context you seem to mention i am sure is completely different to what i am addressing.

that what you want..?

again, exactly "who" are you referring?

No jibes, no malice, im simply trying to understand, if i have offended you or anyone else (theres a marker on this!) then i apologise, it was never my intent.

I am not the only one who feels there is a lack of respect on these forums to others opinions. I won't mention any other names as it is not my place to do so, but I know I'm not alone.

The last bit was a sarcastic hypothetical future GOT thread. Two posters replying to themselves and just agreeing all the time, as anyone else has been progressively hounded, alienated and shouted down for daring to express an opinion that deviates from consensus.

Much of a forum is about speculation. Where will a player play?should we buy such and such, will we play 4-5-1, do we need more players?

These are things we all speculate on and have an opinion on. This speculation is naturally tempered on what little facts we have,

We cannot base our opinions on total facts as we dont have them. Media reports do seem to indicate we have very little money to spend. I don't feel it is wrong to base my opinion on what info I have.

Should I wait until all the facts are out. Well if it was open heart surgery yeah. But we are talking about footy. Nothing wrong with projecting into the future and seeing where it looks like we are going.

prepared to criticise? prepared to castigate? dont know ALL the facts?

it is most definitely implied.

I am prepared to criticise. Its my club.

Don't know all the facts? Who in the world does?

I am not omnipotent or ominpresent. You seem to feel free to post your opinions on all manner of things - without total facts.

To be fair, media reports had us as dead certs for relegation in the 04 Champions League season. I trust the media as far as I can throw it, which isn't very far at all.

I am not the only one who feels there is a lack of respect on these forums to others opinions. I won't mention any other names as it is not my place to do so, but I know I'm not alone.

If you are leveling the allegation of 'disrespect' on my plate, please say it and lets analyse.

If anyone else doesnt like my, my opinions, my words and phrases, let them speak up for themself - im about as adult as im going to get so lets discuss instead of making personal referneces then running off.

TBC.

Much of a forum is about speculation. Where will a player play?should we buy such and such, will we play 4-5-1, do we need more players?

yes and no, when the transfer window is done with, we can speculate on many things, formation, starting eleven, but we have facts at the time, because the squad or injuries cant be manipulated.

These are things we all speculate on and have an opinion on. This speculation is naturally tempered on what little facts we have,

as above

We cannot base our opinions on total facts as we dont have them. Media reports do seem to indicate we have very little money to spend. I don't feel it is wrong to base my opinion on what info I have.

if media reports indicate anything it is that media reports are 99% bullshit - we were nailed on to sign richardson last monday for 2.5 mill remember. Please, please, base an opinion on previous history, your opinion of a manager built over 1/5/10/20 years, not what some hack writing for the gutter press has to say.

Should I wait until all the facts are out. Well if it was open heart surgery yeah. But we are talking about footy. Nothing wrong with projecting into the future and seeing where it looks like we are going.

scooby snacks? open heart surgery? projecting anything in professional sport leaves you open to failure, if you or anyone else is clairevoiant(sp) then great, i'll have a dose too. until which, please dont be offended if i question your predictions because my opinion leads me to believe they are built on sand instead of stone.

TBC .

implied is your opinion again.

I am prepared to criticise. Its my club.

Im prepared to question the club and the fans, its my right as well.

Don't know all the facts? Who in the world does?

Indeed, i agree, but then i have an opinion on what i consider knee jerk reactions

I am not omnipotent or ominpresent. You seem to feel free to post your opinions on all manner of things - without total facts.

In my opinion this is a snide dig, unrelated to football, "you seem to feel free to post your opinions on all manner of things - without total facts" - nice of you to temper it with some opinion... your view of "total facts"

If there is an issue, speak up, dancing around and hinting and whatever else gets us nowhere - i am not a mind reader, if you have an issue, pm me or broadcast it. i dont mind.

done.

I'll speak for myself, alone.

As for disrespect its on everyone's plate. Opinions are immediately ridiculed by someone and then someone else turns up and says, yeah top post.

Makes you feel like a prick for daring to hold a different opinion.

The thing that makes me angry is I'll post- "x"

someone will post "x is bollocks I think y"

and then someone will post I agree leonbil is talking out of his arse, and then slag of some other opinions (that they put into my mouth, that I nevee actually posted) that they connect with me. This is the most annonying part.

For the record.

I think there will be more signings (because there has to be)
I think Moyes is a great manager.
I think the market is inflated and I'm glad Moyes hasn't paid over the odds
I dont think we should have bought Koumas, Richardson, Nugent et al.
I am happy at investment in youth and training facilities
I think the board have done well to stabilise the club
Everton have come on leaps and bounds since the days of hoping Kevin Campbell would save us from relegation
I hope to see players come through and get blooded from the academy

But dare I say that Moyes requires serious backing now in the transfer window (and who knows, he may be getting it) and people rush to put words in my mouth.

We should all respect each other and not try to make personal remarks that are just asking for a fight.

Ghost is by far the worst on this forum for it. I feel myself sinking to his level.

Sorry, you got the wrong end of the stick. Not a snide remark at all. I am not referring to anything other than football posts.

Forums are about opinion and none of us have "all" of the facts.

As I said, "total facts" require omnipotence, God has total facts.

We have varying degrees of subjective knowledge and perception. It doesn't stop us posting. So the argument, you don't know the facts is relevant if a little spurious.

I'll speak for myself, alone.

cool, me too

As for disrespect its on everyone's plate. Opinions are immediately ridiculed by someone and then someone else turns up and says, yeah top post.

not by me, i make my thoughts in a manner of ways "oh we dont need anymore strikers over here"

Makes you feel like a prick for daring to hold a different opinion.

no one can make you feel anything, you might perceive an opinion to belittle you or mock you or whatever else, but you are the human being that translates the words, words mean nothing without understanding - it is this vital aspect where the internet fails, it cannot convey, feeling, atmosphere, tone, accentuation.

The thing that makes me angry is I'll post- "x"

i post plenty of 'x'

someone will post "x is bollocks I think y"

i might, unknowingly fall into this, but its not malicious or planned.

and then someone will post I agree leonbil is talking out of his arse, and then slag of some other opinions (that they put into my mouth, that I nevee actually posted) that they connect with me. This is the most annonying part.

and i certainly have not done anything of that nature to anyone, i dont like being misquoted, and i have and will continue to defned my opinion.

For the record.

I think there will be more signings (because there has to be)

moyes has had no 'significant' backing thus far, yet has done well, 'significant' backing guarantees nothing except red figures short term if we are lucky.

We should all respect each other and not try to make personal remarks that are just asking for a fight.

hopefully you dont feel i made or make personal remarks, but this is the interent, i had to clear something up earlier becasue i didnt want to leave a bad impression on teppic.

Ghost is by far the worst on this forum for it. I feel myself sinking to his level.

go on then, i'll play ball, in my humble insignificant opinion, ghost holds very strong views, and is prepared to get in the trenches with them, i admire him for it, because he is one of few that can be as aggresive if not more so than me, i cant tell if its intentional, mine and his gravesen debate was on my part enjoyable, i like to get down to the bones of an issue and slug it out - it never became personal (so i felt - im not a mind reader remember) but we aired opinions, and that was that - it happens every minute of every day, people agree, people disagree. I have been told im full of [Poor language removed] for believing gravs was a good player, i dont take it personal because A) i dont actually know the person, and B) its going to take a lot more than a few personal insults or anything similar to change my mind.

I can accept ghost, he reminds me of me (sorry ghosty) strong willed, strong opinionated but persoanlly to the board not personal or malicious.

(chico: i did like your 'shadow weighs 5 stone' comment, new to me that, its in the book)

In my opinion this is a snide dig, unrelated to football, "you seem to feel free to post your opinions on all manner of things - without total facts" - nice of you to temper it with some opinion... your view of "total facts"

Sorry, you got the wrong end of the stick. Not a snide remark at all. I am not referring to anything other than football posts.

It appeared somewhat snide, im glad we cleared it up, in my opinion there was another way of writing what you did, but, thats all down to the person, im glad there was nothing more to it. the internet is as good a tool for communication as it is for mis-communication. Again no malice, i wanted to check there was no ill feeling brewed elsewhere due to one of my many flippant comments

It appears i was wrong to mention the 'apologise thread' it is due to my building frustration with certain parts of the support, patience is a virtue, and i have been patient with EFC for over a decade before it pulled its socks up and got its act together - it somewhat infuriates me when i see fans upset at certain things i dont see.

its all personable (how can i fit my word of the week in here ''auspices'') anyway, thats that for now. :pint:
