Sorry, you got the wrong end of the stick. Not a snide remark at all. I am not referring to anything other than football posts.

Forums are about opinion and none of us have "all" of the facts.

As I said, "total facts" require omnipotence, God has total facts.

We have varying degrees of subjective knowledge and perception. It doesn't stop us posting. So the argument, you don't know the facts is relevant if a little spurious.

(though sometimes you are all a bit longwinded to me- why use 20 words when 250 will do!)

imho we have not been outbid for anyone. dm has an upper value on each player and if bidding goes over that, backs out. this to me is not being outbid, its being sensible.

think we willstill be signing players

The thing that makes me angry is I'll post- "x"

and then someone will post I agree leonbil is talking out of his arse, and then slag of some other opinions (that they put into my mouth, that I nevee actually posted) that they connect with me. This is the most annonying part.

For the record.

I think there will be more signings (because there has to be)
I think Moyes is a great manager.
I think the market is inflated and I'm glad Moyes hasn't paid over the odds
I dont think we should have bought Koumas, Richardson, Nugent et al.
I am happy at investment in youth and training facilities
I think the board have done well to stabilise the club
Everton have come on leaps and bounds since the days of hoping Kevin Campbell would save us from relegation
I hope to see players come through and get blooded from the academy

But dare I say that Moyes requires serious backing now in the transfer window (and who knows, he may be getting it) and people rush to put words in my mouth.

We should all respect each other and not try to make personal remarks that are just asking for a fight.

Ghost is by far the worst on this forum for it. I feel myself sinking to his level.

I had just written an essay on why you think I have gotten personal, and maybe you need to have a think before you start accusing me of such stuff. I just happen to think that you are over-negative and you have taken it the wrong way. If it is because of that, think how I feel, I got awarded most negative member on TW!!!!

You do seem to backtrack though, slagging off the board, saying that they should be replaced, and then saying that they have done a good job. *Confused?*

Have you ever thought that there is no money available to give the manager? Also didn't the board give Moyes 8.5 million to sign AJ? To me that is not not backing the manager. This season we have signed 2 players on long term deals, that costs money too, as did Tim Howard, and we have already spent 5 million almost on Jags.

I'm sure if there was money available it would be given to the manager. But we are building a club on stability, building for the future.

What is important is how well this club does over the next ten years, not just the coming 12 months.

Maybe you should come down to Port Sunlight and we can have a pint over it, get to me know me before you accuse me of getting personal. I need to know someone before I can get personal. :)
