Personally I would give Martinez the next 3 league games, if we get anything less than 3 points then he needs to go.
Get Royle in til the end of the season then get De Boer.
What I will say Is that De Boer would probably come earlier, he said he wouldn't leave clubs mid season but if a side with the quality of players that we have came up he would jump at the chance imo
Unreal.
You think he'd come into a viper's nest like this where players who dont want to play a system they're unfamiliar with try and get you turfed out?
The feller can pretty much pick his club.
Not being funny mate, but you're going to have to lower your sights to either an internal errand boy on the coaching staff now or someone from the Championship completely unproven.
No decent manager will touch a future Everton job with a sh1tty stick after this.
He'll be off to Arsenal in the summer. My only worry mate is who Kenwright would go for, My concern is he would go for a safe option but not a good pedigree manager. It would be vital in picking someone to carry on with the philosophy of playing good football, but personally I would like to see someone who plays it a bit quicker, Rodgers whilst a fraud atleast mixes it up and goes for pace in the side if the tiki taka isn't working.
I disagree on who we could attract, look at Spurs for example they sack managers like it's going out of fashion but are never shy of suitors, and that includes their players downing tools on the likes of AVB. De Boer for me isn't good enough/proven for a "top level" job yet, I think a Spurs/Everton club is his level right now similar to Koeman/Pochetino.
Would Kenwright go for him that's a different story...

It really is a matter of lowering sights to the likes of a Pardew-level manager or whoever.
Think Klopp might go arsenal myself, although if Wenger gets the 4th placed trophy no doubt they will keep him on.
Weird how Kenwright has been quiet recently what do you reckon his take on all this is? Whilst the snake often seems to go quiet when times are bad I would have thought he would have made a statement to the media regarding support/need for an improvement etc.
No Christmas/New Year message from the leader. Speaks volumes to me like.
I think he'll allow this to drift another two weeks tops - all the while sounding out possible caretakers/replacements. If it isn't showing signs of improvement (which it wont because these players are determined to tank these games) he'll sack Martinez and install his successor.
IMO, although Kenwright might let things drift longer than that, Messrs Green and Earl will be adamant the slide is halted for the sake of their share value.
Do I detect a change of view Dave?
The earliest Bill will sack Martinez would be say after 12-14 games into next season, assuming no significant improvement in form this season but survival, and a continuation of poor form in the first third of next season.
The Board would obviously revise their new player and player wage budgets towards the end of this season, but I really doubt Martinez's job is in any danger.
This. Ludicrous to even suggest there is any consideration of a Managerial change. I think next preseason will see many of these so-called "superstars" at Everton given the boot. Time for fundamental team change on pitch. Therefore a new playing group will take time to blend. Not going anywhere is RM.Do I detect a change of view Dave?

i think kenwright will give him time even if we would keep losing.
there literally isnt managers out there who can take us forward like martines can. at this moment anyways.
getting him sacked would be like selling ferrari with little scratch on its bumber and buying lotus elite 1957 with that money[/QUOTE
When would you say enough is enough with martinez
