Who could replace Martinez ?

With respect Kev, you don't know that, if you do please provide evidence and sources.

It's generally accepted the players aren't giving their all which is a typical sign of a manager having lost the dressing room. The constant chopping and changing of players suggests he doesn't trust them. The social media outbursts by Garbutt, Distin's alleged bust up with him together with apparent confrontations with oviedo stones and besic.

We will know soon enough , if we buy in the next few days Bobby is staying, if not he is in trouble.
If anything is going on behind the scenes with certain players who goes out could get interesting as well

Well that's nonsense.

Moyes had us 15th in the league after 13 games in that season, taking us as low as 16th in the table. We were consistently 14th or below for the majority of the season.

Look at the team Moyes had though. Would he have had us down there if he had a 30 million centre forward upfront getting service from Mirallas and Barkley? In Lukaku Etoo Naismith and Kone Martinez has 4 strikers who are probably better (on paper at least) than any striker Moyes ever had except for Rooney. There is no way we should be anywhere near the bottom half of the table with the players Martinez has. Given Arsenal are stumbling we should be where Southampton are if the players played for their manager. They don't though so either they or the manager need to go.

In terms of replacements I'd just get someone who is a proven winner. Anyone up and coming is a gamble that is not guaranteed to pay off and i honestly think this group of players are not professional enough to listen to an Eddie Howe type. They need an LVG type, someone of indisputable authority to demand performances from them. He was going to go to Tottenham so coaches of that calibre are clearly interested in big jobs in the premier league.

Knowing Everton though if Martinez was replaced we'd uninspiringly go in-house along the Neville, Weir, Ferguson, Stubbs route.

Circumstantial at best Kev, to substantiate your claims there needs to be concrete evidence..

De Boer clearly wants a PL move and I think you could get him. He said Newcastle were a sleeping giant and so I'm sure he'd be interested in Everton. It's a big 2nd half of the season for Martinez now if he wants to continue long-term.

Moyes the striker killer?

He still could have.

Spot on mate he would snap a move to the Prem up especially with a squad that can challenge for top 4 straight from the off. It's just if Kenwright would go for him or not

If we weren't in such a poor run of form then the Garbutt situation would be seen for what it is, which is pretty much nothing. Even if he is having an ongoing issue with Martinez then he's a fringe squad player, all be it, a talented one and no-one would normally give a wotsit.

The Distin situation probably has more substance to it. As for Stones, Oviedo and Besic, realistically, maybe one out of the three has an issue ? Problem with some of the stuff we're hearing is that :-

a ) We don't know if it's true
b ) If it is true it might just be part of the normal boss / employee issues that happen all the time in the world

We'll know a lot more by the end of the transfer window. If players are that hacked off and they see that Martinez is here for the duration then they'll be wanting out.

As for the "constant chopping and changing of players" well, it's not that long ago that people were moaning that he wasn't rotating. A fair part of the changes he's making is down to players being injured or not fully fit.

Don't get me wrong, we're in a mess, and it needs sorting, but we're not quite in a crisis area yet.

Some hard facts from Kev here.

This squad shouldn't be 6 points off 10th place and 4 off relegation. I think too many blues are letting last season cloud their judgements. Martinez has massively failed this season and hasn't shown any ability to turn it around.

They certainly are. They can't admit that our best players aren't arsed and think it's all the managers fault.

Huh? Have you been reading this place the last few weeks??
Everyone is to blame!
