Poll.

Thomas was before my time, and Clattenburg's performance in that derby was beyond any innocent explanation but what Poll did in that arse-goal incident should have at the very least seen him never referee a game of professional football ever again, and have his affairs thoroughly investigated by the cops to ensure he wasn't paid off.

That he faced no punishment for it - even though it was blatantly obvious he had cheated, lied and the evidence showing that was available immediately - was a disgrace.
What happened?

Dermot Gallagher.
In a 5th round FA Cup game v Leeds, score at 0-0 Palace score, ball a foot over the line, Michael Duberry, lying in the goal, brings the ball back fro behind the line with his arm. Goal kick to Leeds, Palace go on to lose.
Who is it Sky use on Monday’s in the studio to review the controversial decisions from the previous weekend?

The Norwegian baldy who cost us getting to a European Cup final against a crap Utd side and a dishonourable mention to David Elleray who didn’t ever seem to like us much…

David Ellery looked like the type of guy who propped up a mirror at the dinner table at home when he needed some company. Norman no-mates if ever there was one.

So much incompetence to choose from, Mason is pathetic, I feel gutted when he's our ref, too old or looks it, overweight can not keep up with the game at all and seems to hate giving us a decision, but I'm sure other teams fans feel that too. Kevin Friend awful ref another that seems to hate us, even one of the Echo's old headlines, "Kevin is not our Friend". Martin Atkinson, arrogant and another amazingly poor can't stand him. But they are just poor, maybe a little biased imo, the clear winner Clattenburg, simply corrupt, " That game" we were simply cheated out of it, the story goes Spartanburg met up with Liverpool squad on their pre season tour, met the players and got signed shirts off them. The match itself, Clattenburg was starstruck, he was determined Liverpool were winning that game, felt physically sick afterwards, he should have been banned for life.

That refereeing performance in the Chelsea Barcelona game at Stamford Bridge is one of the worst I've ever seen in over 45 years watching football. Short of scoring the winner himself the ref did everything possible to make sure Barcelona went through.

Paul Tierney deserves more respect here. He’s worked his socks off to be one of the worst and he doesn’t even get his name on the list for voters to consider?

Of the options we have, I’ve gone for Lee Mason as he is actually wrong more than he’s right and is consistently 10 yards behind where he should be.

Atkinson still wins the award for worst decision ever for his red card of Rodwell, and Clattenburg sure tried his best and proudly received the award for worst overall performance for his showing in the derby. You know which one I’m talking about.

The premier league want more money not less , the clubs who get the most viewing figures will get the decisions, no way do they want this season over in January, palace liverpool game was bent as anything that wasn't a bad performance by the referee it was perfectly manipulated the way the premier league wanted it, 10/ 10 for kevin friend .

Collina.

Retired.

Came out of retirement for ONE game with explicit instructions that only 4 English teams are able to compete in CL.

His 'reputation' meant any decision made would be tough to question.

Baldy [Poor language removed].

Wrong. He didn’t come out of retirement. I hear this so many times………

He refereed the 2004 UEFA Cup Final between Valencia and Marseille. In February 2005, as he reached the mandatory retirement age, UEFA Euro 2004 was his last major international tournament. His last international match was PortugalSlovakia, for a 2006 FIFA World Cup qualifier at Estádio da Luz in Lisbon.
The FIGC raised its mandatory retirement age to 46 in order to accommodate Collina for a further season. However, a dispute emerged between the federation and Collina early in August 2005, following his decision to sign a sponsorship deal with Opel (also advertising for Vauxhall Motors in the United Kingdom – both are owned by General Motors). As Opel was also a sponsor of Serie A club A.C. Milan, the deal was seen as a conflict of interest, and Collina was not allowed to referee top flight matches in Italy.
In response, Collina handed in his resignation, effectively ending his career. The Italian Referees Association then attempted to reject his resignation, but he persisted with his retirement. Collina's final competitive game was a Champions League qualifier between Everton and Villarreal on 24 August 2005. He announced his retirement soon after the game

I stand corrected.

But you're some kind of ref nonce to know all that.

I was merely a sheep regurgitating what the baying mob were shouting at the time.

We'll done you for educating the 97%.

Cheers.
