I refuse to pin my hopes to somebody who was in charge of one of the very few teams worse than us last season.

2?New managers will always go for solidity if they have had 2 days to prepare the team. Would have been much better to do this against Southampton and West Ham, steady the ship and get a couple of points rather than against Arsenal and RS. More rank amateurism, let's just give him 2 more chances.
No one can keep us up, this team are shocking but the thought of trying to get bk up with Dyche is scaryWho keeps us up that would come?
Howe took Bournemouth down.Dyche takes us down. 4 wins in 30. There’s a reason not one single Prem club have even been linked with him.
Clough had checked out as he knew he was retiring, not even in the same ballparkHowe took Bournemouth down.
Clough took Forest down
Correct you`d account for it in the P&L in this month, as you say gardening leave with salary is a way around it but even that would show his income for the rest of this year in the accounts as well as the new manager. However, if FFP or P&S are still part of the problem, this doesn’t matter. The moment we sign off on his severance (if it is a severance payment rather than gardening leave with salary) and become contractually liable, ALL of it hits this years Profit and Loss Account. Even if agreed we can pay him over 5 years interest free. Can’t account for bad news on a cash basis basically.
Given the last few weeks on and off pitch antics, money won’t be the biggest obstacle getting players or managers in now.
How are we supposed to know, you won't know unless you ask these people, I still maintain that a healthy financial package and guaranteed severance package in the event of failure, will entice a top coach, we are still in the Premier league as yet, so who knows who we can attract. Nobody expected Ancelotti.Who keeps us up that would come?
Is Carlo still RM manager? How are we supposed to know, you won't know unless you ask these people, I still maintain that a healthy financial package and guaranteed severance package in the event of failure, will entice a top coach, we are still in the Premier league as yet, so who knows who we can attract. Nobody expected Ancelotti.
As far as I know yeah.Is Carlo still RM manager?
Sadly you make too much sense.Correct you`d account for it in the P&L in this month, as you say gardening leave with salary is a way around it but even that would show his income for the rest of this year in the accounts as well as the new manager.
I`ve read previously he accepted lower packages when being sacked from Chelsea, if he gets the club he will, if he doesn`t care I guess he would get as much as possible, let`s face it he doesn`t need the cash....
I don`t believe we are still sailing as close to the wind on the Premier League Profit and Sustainability (FFP is the UEFA term for clubs competing in Europe), losses are as follows.....
18/19 -£111m
19/20 -£139m
20/21 -£120m
Despite these losses we have been able to get in and around the P&S levels albeit in special measures, I`m sure punishments would have been brought if we had gone too far over. For the accounts up to June 22 we lose the £111m loss from the calculation and that is replaced by the new figure, if this is £70m as reported by The Esk we are £41m better off in P&S terms.
I believe Moshiri is refusing to fund the losses any longer and cash is being taken from the club to pay for the stadium, so it is actual cash terms stopping us from buying what we need more that P&S.....
Do I make sense?
